@forgebitz Why are you manually using figma , hook an agent to it and teach it design principles and let it do the work!

figma's ui is a total maze which is ironic for a design tool

His yard is literally falling into the lake and he has no idea what to do. The obvious option is paying $60,000 for a seawall. The problem is his neighbors already did that, and their seawalls are falling apart too. So now he’s stuck watching his property slowly disappear while the “solution” costs more than most people make in a year and might not even work long term.

Interesting thing I heard from a founder of an early-stage AI startup in SF: Hiring is damn hard for them b/c the type of devs that pass the hiring bar for their founding engineer (onsite) role are... the types of devs who also happen to hired by the AI labs in SF or get accepted to YC as well! And so most folks choose those options instead...

the best thing about vibe coding is that no one is asking me to "build the next facebook" for a 8% stake anymore

@forgebitz @joelbasson Much more of a car optimization problem than a space optimization problem. Pijp is nicer because of that. NL also just doesn't haven't architectural and craftsman talent to pull off traditional facades currently.

Amsterdam’s newer residential neighbourhoods are so incredibly soul destroying. Just so bleak going through them. And so few people visible that it feels creepy. See IJBurg and KNSM Eiland vs De Pijp

i am still somewhat skeptical about ai coding the models are really really good now, and every company has access but software seems more sloppy and broken than ever before as if coding was never really the bottleneck

software engineering is now draining because all the "easy" work is done you used to be able to do productive but relatively simple work some days (writing some new endpoints, making some dashboards) now all that is left is the hard part
