Day-after take: There’s a difference between a roster and a team. The Jets have a bunch of big names on their roster, but they do not resemble a cohesive team. Complementary football? Please. They make big mistakes at the worst times. They don’t handle adversity well, which suggests a lack of mental toughness. And some of those big names aren’t as good as they used to be. The defense, the backbone of the team since 2022, is now riddled with injuries. Playoffs? Come on. They’re looking at 6-11 if this keeps up. #Jets

The Times has a piece on Trumps unilateral debate ploy which takes the whole thing at face value, says “unclear” if Harris has agreed to it yet and barely mentions the ABC debate Trump just pulled out of but follows his line of criticism agst it

This is interesting. First of all, it's closer than I thought Polymarket traders would have the Trump/Harris race. Second, the fact that the gap on PA is so much wider than the gap in WI or MI would be a point in favor of picking Shapiro as Harris' running mate.

@JamesFallows Just watched it on your advice. The big difference is that Andy Griffith was disqualified after his unedited words got out. But no effect on Trump after Hollywood Access tape, "vermin," "poison," "captured soldiers are losers," etc.
