Habibi, one of the weirdest abductions in the recent past was that of @SamsonMKasumba in 2020. As the rest of the world battled COVID-19 & prayed for solutions, the brother was abducted & held incommunicado without a charge. In the end, he was taken to Kira Road police station released on bond without even knowing the alleged offence! In March last year, a talkative boda boda guy around Bukoto Flats told me it all had to do with a big man who thought Samson was doing bad manners with his seventh side chick! The boda rider said the big man, realising he couldn't match Samson’s words that come wrapped in strong - sometimes even strange - American accent, decided to use state machinery instead! The boda man who claims he & the big man are from the same village added that what annoyed the big man the most was that while he was spending millions on the babe, all brother Kasumba did was talk, yet he ended up with the same results - if not better! Boda boda men tend to lie, and I don't always believe them, but Samson really needs justice for what he went through! One of these days, I will personally look for him to see if I can help in any way. It is really terrible to live in a country where people just get abducted for anything, man! Really, abducting a celebrated journalist for some thing as petty as this?! We will get Samson justice whether he wants or not! It’s a matter of time.
