🇹🇷🇪🇸 Turkey and Spain are in talks over a potential sale of Turkey's KAAN, a 5th generation stealth fighter jet.
Spain dropped its F-35 plans, its European FCAS program is delayed until the 2040s, and its air force needs modern stealth capability now. Turkey's KAAN fills that gap.
Spain already bought 30 Turkish Hürjet trainer jets for €2.6 billion, so this relationship has precedent.
Why it matters: if finalised, KAAN becomes the first Turkish 5th-gen fighter sold to a NATO and EU member state.

@BrianMcDonaldIE Nobody gives a shit. We can’t do business only with Western democracies; we must get our oil and gas from Qatar, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Libya, etc. The point is to avoid getting it from countries hostile to us, like Russia.
