Interesting; this Bible, which was used as a primer to teach slaves to read and was in fact much reduced in size with whole books, chapters, and verses seems to rather fly in the face of your oft stated argument that all slaves were kept ignorant and not allowed to read. Anyone who has ever attended any Church or Sunday School; whether Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, A.M.E., Lutheran or anything else has experienced selective editing when the class guide or Preacher directs reading of something like Luke Chapter 1 Verses 2 though 4, 6, and 7. And you wonder, now why did they skip verse 5? Please don’t bother to look that one up…I didn’t and just threw out a Book and made up the rest…but we all experience this weekly. This is no different.
