I think it’s genuinely because this model was made specifically for this game’s artstyle and environments. We had a different Sonic model for every mainline game up until this point and there was a reason for that.

The recent PC port of Unleashed reminded me that the modern Sonic model used to look really good actually. Good balanced proportions, an actual muzzle curve, no weird carpet texture. Genuinely a solid model all around where did we go wrong

atla really showed how history gets rewritten to serve those in power. the fire nation erased the truth to justify their empire just like how real world colonizers twist history to make themselves the heroes. crazy how a kids show captured that so well
