Google has agreed to pay out $10M to 227 job applicants who suffered age discrimination. The company will have to set up a committee to address age issues in tech recruiting, as well as training employees and managers about age bias. insights.dice.com/2019/07/23/goo… #agebias #ageism

@EmilyRNunn I recall back in the day when a job description insisted on over 10 years experience in social media management, and it hadn’t existed that long at the time... and the applicant needed to be a recent graduate... and let’s not talk about the low pay...

@DomainSushi @LinkedIn Some things you can do to combat #agebias in job listings 1) educate your company/industry about biased language, 2) point out #agebias in job postings by responding to companies/reporting job listings, 3) educate people who use the word #digitalnative to mean tech savvy.
