@iam_igumira People here tend to confuse opinions with evidence… that is opinion. No evidence supporting that.

@docborderless @DrNeilStone @MSF Yeah. Mouth shut, do medicine. I could understand that. Not that they did mouth shut!!! But why are terrorists running the hospital an issue now? The 'wrong' terrorists perhaps?

MSF finally pull out of al Nasser Hospital in Gaza and essentially admit what everyone knew for YEARS ..Hamas use hospitals as centres for weapons, torture and interrogation Why only NOW, @MSF?? Why have you been playing along with this and effectively given cover for it?
Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib@afalkhatib

The Great Hospital Con: Doctors Without Borders (MSF) pulled out of the al-Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, and just yesterday explained its decision. It has said exactly what I have repeatedly talked about for over a year and shared personal examples of friends of mine being imprisoned, interrogated, and tortured within various facilities inside the hospital from Hamas's intelligence and security services. MSF is two years late to this recognition but it is ultimately confirming what even a child in southern Gaza could have told the organization or the NYT, Washington Post, BBC, Al Jazeera and countless others had they bothered to ask - which is that Hamas has literally turned Gaza's three main hospitals into headquarters for security, ministerial, and administrative operations. When I said this time and again, people would yell and scream how I was irresponsibly justifying Israel’s targeting of the hospital, even as the same people would not utter a word about their favorite terrorist fascist organization jeopardizing the safety of medical facilities for two years of the deadly war. Congratulations “pro-Palestine” activists: you have been conned by your beloved resistance organization which has caused the death of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians by its conduct and behavior. Get Hamas out of Gaza’s hospitals now!

@docborderless @DrNeilStone @MSF But they do recognise a man in a balaclava carrying a big gun probably shouldn't be walking around a hospital. They are intelligent enough to know its unlikely he's just watering the plants or checking the windows are clean.

“Dr’s rota upto ST5” They make up their equivalency grade as they go along Yet to Practice Medicine, ACPs have No accredited qualification ❌ No regulation ❌ No license ❌
Dr Nick Dalmon@DrNickDalmon

The reason @wesstreeting and Jim Mackey can go for 95% of all elective activity is because they are substituting ACPs for doctors. They do it every day why not on strikes. Its not safe! During the strikes, consultants will be there! #AskForAConsultant (not a nurse one)

ACPs picking up SENIOR REGISTRAR shifts?! To put in context, an ST5 dr would have: ✅ Minimum 5 yrs medical degree ✅ Minimum 7 yrs of experience as a dr including 4 years specialist training Yet ACPs with NO medical degree are doing this after a 2 yr course It’s criminal!

This is an important publication from @RCoANews “The need for doctor anaesthetists rather than AAs has been reinforced by a separate survey of clinical leaders” “The solution is to train more anaesthetists” The evidence is indisputable - no more anaesthetic Dr substitution

Only doctors should be doing the jobs of doctors. That is not controversial So many Doctors desperate for work, thousands of patients desperate to see one. Yet we rob the nursing profession of its best, to supplement poor workforce planning. What a farce.

ACPs aren't replacing Drs… but Nurse Consultants are being placed on the Medical Consultant Rota 🙂 There is a place for Advanced Practice. It is not on the Medical Rota

RCN bigwig says nursing gaps can only be filled by nurses So why are doctor gaps filled with anyone BUT doctors??? We have unemployed doctors in the UK - the 7th biggest economy in the world
Prof Jane Ball (FRCN)💙@JaneEBall

@The_Gusman @alisonleary1 Registered nurse gaps can only be filled by registered nurses. That’s what the research evidence shows. Lives are put at risk if there are not enough RNs to deliver and coordinate care. #safestaffing

100% agree with Professor Ball here. RN gaps can only be filled by RNs. And therefore; 🔹Doctor gaps can only be filled by doctors. 🔹Physio gaps can only be filled by physios. 🔹Paramedic gaps can only be filled by paramedics. End the blurring of professional boundaries.

Nurses replacing consultant doctors on the rota. Providing geritrician input. How are they a geritrician? How many exams have they passed compared to a gerris consultant? Doctor replacement, out in the open. Your relatives are the ones affected. #AskForADoctor

Doctors in general surgery and gastroenterology are unable to meet their indicative numbers in endoscopy Non doctors do plenty more. The NHS is forced to employ foreign doctors who are better trained than our own in the UK We can learn a lot from them. But what happens when there are no doctors left who are qualified to do the basics?
Surgical Resident Doc@anonresidentd

Full GI list autonomously performed by ACP. Are patients aware these procedures are done by ACPs? While gastro trainees are fighting for/ coming on their days off/ staying OOH to be able to train? @BMAResidents @fletchjack @TheBMA

They twisted the anti-PA movement and tried to discredit it by throwing statements like “ACPs were next” to make it sound like a witch-hunt. It’s not. It never was. It’s a stand against substitution. It always has been. *Anyone* taking doctors’ roles is next.

I don't think it's controversial to say that different jobs require different training. And yet as a doctor I'm somehow elitist or discriminatory for stating this. I don't want to do others jobs, is it too much to ask that others don't do mine?

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 wake up So now that any HCW can just step in after a few modules and pretend to be equivalent to a senior doctor, we will also have to deal with “practitioners with basic anatomy knowledge doing surgery on us If you want a doctor for your loved one then you will have to pay
Dr Nick Dalmon@DrNickDalmon

Read this job description. This is a senior surgical registrars job But its not This is direct doctor replacement by a "practitioner" When you go to clinic with your suspected bowel cancer you might not even see a trained surgeon but someone with a 2 year course and "training"
