To fill 50 litres of a Corolla car: During Obasanjo’s time it cost ₦3,750. During Yar’Adua’s time, it cost ₦3,250. During GEJ’s time, it cost ₦4,350. During Buhari’s time, it cost ₦11,900. Now under Tinubu’s regime, to fill the same 50 litres of a Corolla car cost ₦61,350

I want to address a recent claim circulating that I am affiliated with or working for the ruling party, All Progressives Congress. Let me state this clearly and without ambiguity — I am not a member of APC, nor do I work for or represent the party in any capacity.

I do not normally respond to online rumors but feel the need to do so at this moment I will not be a candidate for the currently vacant HC and GM positions with the Miami Dolphins. While you never know what the future may bring right now my focus must remain on global events and also the precious archives of the United States of America. Thank you

Don't ever underestimate this man!!! This man came from nowhere to upstage the likes of Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Ganiyu Olawale Dawodu in Lagos and won the SENATE seat of Lagos West at first attempt in 1991 But for Babangida he already installed Alh Shehu Musa Yar'Adua and afterwards Bashorun MKO Abiola as President in 1992 and 1993. The same man stood up to Babangida and Abacha in the hear of the Jun 12 crisis and survived it. In 1999 he breezed into the country to upstage Engr. Funso Williams who was then set to be Governor of Lagos State. He retired Chief Ayo Adebanjo and bombed his Ohanifere ambitions in Lagos. He stood shoulder to shoulder with Obasanjo as President for 8 years and emerged as the only survivor. Since that time he has been the News and Hass been surviving. He contained the Ibo Zionist advancement in Lagos and have successfully managed Lagos State Political Stability consistently for about 26 years. He survived the most evil plot of the 2020 EndSars attack which were targeted at him. He survived the worst combinations of treachery from Presidential Cabal, Ibo Zionists, all the evil Principalities and Powers of Nigeria, including Buhari himself and the worst betrayals from his own innermost circles and from all these he emerged the President and Commander-in-Chief of Nigeria. He has survived Fuel and Dollar Subsidy removal, the effects of Economic reforms, NLC and all the Megawatts of hate coming out from Ibo land. All his life has been about obstacles and survival from childhood to this day. He knows the streets!!! He has rare combination of resources: Street Sense, Native Intelligence, Spiritual Anointing, Academic Brilliance, Professional Experience, Political Network, Wisdom etc. And he can be very calm. That is one of his greatest qualities. He is always calm, he listens and he is always attentive. Notwithstanding, he has the capacity for CRAZE + MADNESS, original dangbanasoki. I have no doubt in my mind that he will overcome the current conspiracies of "insecurity" around the country which are targeted at him. It's just another obstacle. There is something very divine about him and he has always triumph in all he takes on. You underestimate him at your own peril. #Igbimoomoyoruba #ThinkYorubaFirst © Adedamola Adetayo 24 November 2025

One of the consistent principles of leadership is the willingness to make ultimate sacrifices and take risks. A true leader does not make excuses or complain; he shows up, sacrifices, and provides solutions, especially in difficult times. While I do not advocate for our President to expose himself to monumental risks, I cannot accept the excuse that bad roads prevented him from reaching Yelwata in Benue State—especially after he had already made it to the state. This visit happened days after the massacre, with enough time to plan appropriately. But let’s ask the fundamental question: Who is responsible for fixing the roads if not state and the federal governments? If the Commander-in-Chief cannot reach a part of his own country due to bad roads, what hope is there for the ordinary Nigerian who plies those same routes every day? Leadership is not about comfort; it is about sacrifice. It is about standing with your people, especially in moments of pain and tragedy. You cannot abandon your citizens in their hour of need. You don’t offer excuses when action is required. Even if we accept that the roads were truly impassable—which they are not, as presidential aides and staff managed to navigate them—what happened to the use of helicopters? Are we saying a nation that boasts of a presidential air fleet could not airlift the President to Yelwata to condole with grieving citizens? The people of Benue did not need protocol or explanations. They needed empathy. They needed presence. The roads may be bad, but what is worse is the institutional neglect that brought us to this point. A New Nigeria cannot—and will not—be built on excuses. It will be built on the sacrifices, courage, and responsibility of true leaders. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

What has happened to our compassion as a People ? We pleaded that the President should show Leadership and visit Benue and Niger States in the spirit of deep national mourning, to offer compassion and solidarity to families torn apart by the senseless massacre of over 200 innocent Nigerians in Benue State and flooding that killed similar number in Niger State. But what we saw in Benue visit was instead of a solemn, reflective visit, a display that would have been more befitting for the commissioning of reconstructed Enugu-Makurdi highway, a critical road connecting South and Northern Nigeria which had become impassable for years. The President arrived not in mourning cloth but in celebratory agbada attire, like it was an occasion for joy. Even more heartbreaking is the role of the State. Rather than been in mourning mood and weeping declared a public holiday, not for reflection or prayer, but to organize fanfare. Schools were shut down. Children who should be mourning their slaughtered classmates, and parents were instead lined up under the rain, rehearsed to sing and dance for the President. In what kind of country does this happen? We have tragically arrived at a point where condolence visits have become carnivals. A time that should be marked by silence and solemnity is now polluted by banners, music, and rehearsed spectacles. Precious Nigerian lives have been lost, yet we’re clapping, singing, and organizing processions, as though this were a campaign rally. This is not how any compassionate nation behaves. The energy, resources, and logistics poured into this charade could have gone into food supplies, temporary shelters, medical aid, school support, and trauma counselling for grieving families. Instead, we chose optics over empathy. Look elsewhere: When President Ramaphosa visited Mthatha after the floods in South Africa, there were no drums. No staged crowds. No rented cheers. Just presence, silence, and action. When Prime Minister Modi went to the site of a crash, no one lined up to welcome him. He came, he mourned, he acted. That is what leadership looks like in moments of pain. We must ask ourselves: What kind of people have we become? Enough of this culture of impunity. We are not at war yet our nation is bleeding, and we are clapping. It is not only insensitive, it is dangerous. Let us not forget: These were human beings, children, mothers, fathers whose blood cries out for justice. When very sad incidents like this turns to campaign or festival, our Nation Losing Its Soul. A new Nigeria is POssible! -PO

I just learned of the arrest of @DeleFarotimi, a respected human rights lawyer and advocate, over an allegation of defamation. This action is a gross misuse of police powers and a grave assault on the principles of democracy and justice in Nigeria. I condemn this action in totality. It represents not only an attempt to intimidate opposing voices from questioning authority . It is also a worrying signal to every Nigerian who loves and values freedom of expression and dares to demand accountability and transparency. The Nigeria Police Force exists to protect the rights of citizens, not to suppress them. Defamation, by its nature, is a civil matter that should be addressed in court through due legal process in line with the dictates of the rule of law in a democracy. As a private citizen, former governor, and even today, I am frequently defamed, insulted, and lied about and against. Yet, I have never resorted to using the Nigerian police or filing reports to silence others. Those who feel otherwise should seek redress through the proper legal channels, not by weaponizing the police or abusing their access to authority or state power. The resort to police action, in this case, reeks of abuse of power and raises serious concerns about the independence and professionalism of the police as a civil force. I hereby request that Dele Farotimi should be released immediately and unconditionally. The police must recognize that their allegiance is to the Constitution and the people of Nigeria, not to narrow interests at the behest of those in power. A new more Just and fair Nigeria is possible! -PO

Thank you, my dear @oluwaloninyo . Let me sincerely apologize on their behalf. These days, I have learned to avoid criticizing or getting easily annoyed with Nigerians and, in particular, Nigerian businesses, given the harsh and difficult environment they have to navigate. The situation in our country demands that we always apply caution as we try to understand each other's circumstances and factor them into our judgment of them. This should act as a reminder that many are doing their best despite the challenging circumstances and that patience and understanding can go a long way. -PO

In one week, both President Obasanjo and his former spokesman, Doyin Okupe, abandoned Peter Obi. And they still do not know they were played! Excessive pride has blinded their eyes to what a child from elsewhere sees. And some people are even taking Peter Obi from mosque to mosque in Northern Nigeria, deceiving him that Northerners will vote for him as President in 2027, so they can reuse him to divide the Peoples Democratic Party's votes in 2027. The same man that plotted religious war against Muslims? When a chicken is being dressed with oil and spices, it is not because the dressers love the chicken. They are just preparing it for the barbecue fire. The same person whose hubris turned him into one man's suya in 2023 will be another man's grilled chicken in 2027. Oya, insult. Just as miracle no dey tire Jesus, insult no dey tire una! #TableShaker

Gbajue: Thirty of the Many Lies Told By Peter Obi Part 2 (The lies are so much one post could not take them. Please see Part 1 for the beginning). Fourteen: He claimed that the US President pays for his own food, but a search on the White House website indicates that the White House food budget covers most of the costs of the US President's meals, although there are some that the President pays for. Fifteen: I employed 60% of Anambra people in IBL Brewery (IBL employs less than 0.06 of Anambra’s population). Sixteen: Out of 150 players in the American NBA, almost 100 are Nigerians. But Nigerian players in the NBA are less than 3%. Seventeen: I did not leave debt in Anambra (actually, he left debt, according to the Debt Management Office). Eighteen: Tinubu sent out WhatsApp messages against me that I would destroy Lagos (actually, the blast was sent out by Powell Glad Legbe, an Obidient). Nineteen: Nigeria exported less than $30 billion in 2021 (Nigeria has exceeded $30 billion in exports for over a decade). Twenty: I am the first Governor to be impeached and reinstated in Nigeria (actually, Ladoja was the first). Twenty One: I have never been involved in corruption (according to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, Peter Obi corruptly ferried money out of Nigeria and stashed it in secret accounts). For this, he was investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in 2022, and that case has not been officially closed. Twenty Two: My investment in SABMiller is now worth $100 million (actually, the Obi government’s investment of $12.24 million is now worth only $5.38 million). Twenty Three: The Governors of the Southeast founded ESN (actually, ESN was founded on December 13, 2020, by Nnamdi Kanu). Twenty Four: I have only one wristwatch (Peter Obi has been photographed with multiple wristwatches). Twenty Five: I don’t fly private jets (pictures don’t lie!). Obi has been pictured alighting from multiple private jets. Twenty Six: The British government apologised to me after detaining me at Heathrow. Enquiries from the UK High Commission in Abuja indicated no such apology was offered by the British Government to Mr. Obi. Twenty Seven: Peter Obi claimed NEXT was dissolved. Investigations revealed that the UK government did not dissolve the company. Rather, it was punitively struck off after failing to file annual returns. Twenty Eight: Peter Obi claimed that apart from Venezuela, Nigeria is the only OPEC nation not meeting its quota. That is a lie. Data from OPEC's website shows that no OPEC country meets its production quota. Twenty Nine: He said Nigeria has 60% youth unemployment. However, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, this is false. Thirty: Peter Obi claims he is a nationalist, but as Governor, he threatened to sack non-natives of Anambra in the Anambra State Civil Service, an unconstitutional act. Reno Omokri   Gospeller.
