@JosephWilliamCr @DialConfession Back in the 50s/60s there was a lack off Asian actors. Hence the reason of white actors being “made up” think Burt Kwok was one of the few Asian actors around at that time…

@DialConfession guess they wanted to show that people of asian ethnicity could be powerful people in the future, too bad they didn't cast a genuine asian actor in the role

I think what I find most bizarre about Mavic Chen, is that there was no reason for the character to be Asian in the first place, let alone a man in yellowface. Why didn’t they just make him a white man, or an alien? His race is never brought up or remotely relevant to the story.

@WhoPotterVian Disagree there… through JNT stories like Warriors’ Gate, Kinda, Earthshock, The Five Doctors, Caves of Androzani, Rememberance of the Daleks and the whole off season 26 is better than RTD2.

@dougray71 I was talking more broadly about the new series as a whole rather than specifically RTD2. However, I think when you compare RTD2 as the weakest era of the new series to the JNT era as the weakest of the classic, RTD2 still comes out above JNT most of the time. #DoctorWho

I would still argue as fantastic as those stories are that the new series stories are overall of better quality though. #DoctorWho

@PositivityWho I remember watching it on a Monday and Tuesday night… was amazing. Big difference to the unstoppable 4th Doctor, Romana and K9 . And those cliffhangers to EarthShock 😱

I really like Peter’s first season and i love how different the first three stories are.

as a massive Loreen fan, this debut is so disappointing. I was genuinely expecting a top 40 debut, definitely top 100, but this is just baffling. I guess we’re 3 years on from Tattoo and Eurovision and most people didn’t even know she had a new album out

in all my 56 years living in Great Britain, I've never seen people so angry with what's become of our once great country. everything is failing, from local councils to national government. from the nhs to the bbc. the police force are a joke, the armed services have been depleted by successive governments, schools are full of left wing woke ideology. our government cares more about the rights of illegal immigrants, than it does British citizens. they give farmers of foreign countries millions while hammering British farmers with an unfair inheritance tax. we are a Christian country with Christian values that's slowly been eradicated in favour of a religion still in the 6th century. i truly worry for the safety and future for my grand kids.
