Why Did Sridhar Vembu Really Come to India? The story you've been sold: A billionaire tech entrepreneur renounces Silicon Valley, returns to a Tamil Nadu village, lives simply, cycles to work, talks about dharma and reversing brain drain. Simple living, high thinking. A saint in a cotton shirt. The story the California courts tell: He moved to India in late 2019. Filed for divorce in 2021. In between, he transferred ownership of Zoho's US subsidiary to entities controlled by his associate Tony Thomas and his sister Radha Vembu, who now holds an estimated 47.8% stake in the company, without his wife's knowledge or consent. A California court didn't mince words. It found that Vembu had acted "without regard for respondent's interests in community assets and without regard for the law." It ordered him to post a $1.7 billion bond. Unprecedented, the court itself said. His wife Pramila Srinivasan, who by her own account supported the household in Zoho's early years and was kept in the dark about the ownership restructuring, is still fighting the case in California. Their son, who has autism and requires lifelong care, lives with her in the Bay Area. He is 26 years old. Vembu left him behind. The move to rural India wasn't a philosophical act. It was a jurisdictional one. California's community property law requires marital assets to be split equally in a divorce. The solution, apparently, was to move the assets and himself out of California's reach before the divorce became formal. The village was the alibi. The dharma was the disguise. This is the conclusion the evidence points to. The trial is not yet concluded and Vembu has denied all allegations, calling them complete fiction. But the court, looking at the same evidence, found his explanations not credible. And then came the reward. The Modi government gave him the Padma Shri on January 26, 2021 and appointed him to the National Security Advisory Board just days later, in February 2021. The formal divorce filing came in August that year. The government honoured him while the marriage was already in ruins and the asset transfers were already underway. But the courts and the Padma Shri are almost secondary. The real villainy is what he did to millions of ordinary Indians who believed him. The man built an entire public persona on selflessness, on the idea that he had walked away from wealth and comfort for the sake of rural youth, for India, for something larger than himself. People quoted him. Teachers cited him. Young men from small towns looked up to him. It was a performance. Underneath the saint was a man who had abandoned his wife of nearly three decades, walked away from a son who needed him, moved a billion dollar empire out of legal reach, and dressed the whole operation up as enlightenment. That is the real story of why Sridhar Vembu came to India.

@Schandillia Beg to disagree , as a society we have become more toxic . The rest are all accepted . But the anger, intolerance all have increased. One can argue that these were latent and this administration just gave voice . Perhaps

You wake up. You go to work. You get your salary. You party on weekends. You vacation with family. You celebrate your festivals. You shop occasionally…sometimes a lot, sometimes not so much. This was our life before Modi. This is our life with Modi. And this will be our life after Modi. Nothing changes. Things are more expensive this year than the last. But things will also be more expensive next year than this. And were more expensive last year than the one before. Year, decade, however you slice it. Modi or whoever, is only an ego boost for those who outsourced their personality to their favorite political figure, not an iota more. You vote, you don’t vote, your life doesn’t care. It will still be the same where rubber meets the road. Unless you’re one of those ladlas who actually stands to gain cold hard cash just for existing. But even then, once a precedent sets, ladlas stand to gain anyway. And the precedent was set long ago. That the formula works is no secret knowledge confined to BJP. This country will continue to run with or without your vote. Whoever lives in the PMO, your life will continue to be as fun or as miserable as it always was. Nothing will change. For the most part.

BJP came to power in Odisha waving the banner of “Odia Asmita,” accusing BJD of serving Tamil interests and enriching Tamil companies. Yet today, the same BJP brazenly sacrifices our local vendors to benefit Gujarati firms. Earlier, lab equipment tenders were floated at the college level, giving local suppliers a fair chance. Now, from the smallest to the biggest contracts, this government seems keen on handing everything to Gujarati companies. And sadly, all this is being shamelessly done in the name of “protecting Odisha’s interest” and “upholding Odia pride.”

When I was with my office colleagues, they finished their drinks & casually threw the cans on the road. I kept mine with me coz I was searching for a dustbin. They started laughing and mocking me & one of them said, “Oh, she is Modi supporter doing Swachh Bharat.” Imagine being so conditioned that basic civic sense like not littering is seen as a political thing. I had many responses in mind then, but one thing was clear, the same people who litter everywhere would later blame Modi for the filth.

My Analysis of West Bengal 1. West Bengal jumps from 82% to 92% in voter turnout out 2. Muslims generally vote in mass so this entire extra vote share come from Hindu Votes most probably who weren’t coming out earlier 3. Plus these are the people who were earlier stopped from voting coz of fear of law & order so most of them are anti Mamata voters In 2021 1. Total 6 Cr people voted in West Bengal while the total electorate was 7.6 Cr 2. TMC got 2.9 Cr votes out of 6 Cr which is 48% & got 215 seats 3. BJP got 2.3 Cr votes out of 6 Cr which is 38% & got just 77 seats 4. Difference between BJP & TMC was 60 lacs votes & 10% 5. The total electorate was 7.6 Cr Now 1. SIR has deleted 90 lacs illegal votes due to duplication, deaths & pure illegal 2. Total electorate this time is around becomes 7 Cr 3. Given that 80% of the effect of SIR goes to TMC, it should get 70 lacs less votes than last year means 2.2 Cr votes. This means TMC will be dropped to 35-37-% vote share 4. Given that 80% of incremental voting from 82 to 92 goes to BJP means BJP will get additional 20 lacs votes means BJP will come close to 2.5 Cr votes. This will be 42% vote share 5. Add 2% each from the other party vote share drop to both parties. Means TMC will stop at 39% & BJP will jump to 44% 6. Add 2% Anti Incumbency votes to BJP & reduce that 2% from TMC. Means TMC will settle for 37% & BJP will jump to 46% Now with this maths 1. TMC will get 37% of 6.44 Cr (92% of total electorate) means 2.4 Cr votes 2. BJP will get 46% of 6.44 Cr means 2.96 Cr votes BJP is touching 190 seats if the same trend goes for Phase 2 as well Hindus should push their boundaries further & come out in larger numbers for phase 2 as well One more point, knowing Mamata is losing big time, security forces should further step up their strength for phase 2 as goons will try to run reckless now Nutshell, Mamata is packing up. Draconian TMC is packing up Jai Hind 🇮🇳

WHAT TN AND BENGAL HISTORIC VOTER TURNOUT TELLS US: 1. This may indicate a strong endorsement of the robustness of Indian electoral democracy and an expression of faith in the EC, while not being a definitive proof of institutional trust on its own. For years now, there has been a campaign raging across this country to shake the faith of the voter in the electoral system—called “rigged, compromised, managed” by an ecosystem. The Indian voter has spoken once again and may have expressed faith in the system, even as other motivations for turnout may also be at play. CEC Gyanesh Kumar has hailed the turnout and thanked the voter. 2. The BJP has been equally proficient in not only mobilizing but also cultivating a voter base, which may indicate that its ideological influence and acceptability is expanding in two states where it is still being thwarted by a regional formation, though turnout alone cannot fully establish vote conversion. 3. Specifically in TN, the BJP has been able to inveigle itself to the point that even the AIADMK sees it as a vote aggregator. This may indicate that the BJP isn’t purely seen as a “Hindi, upper-caste Hindu” party. This acceptance could point to the BJP’s core philosophy culturally reorganizing the polity in TN away from Dravidianism, a trend that would require sustained electoral evidence over time to fully establish. 4. The vote surge is seen most in traditional AIADMK bastions in comparison to DMK areas of influence, which may indicate an unpredictable dimension to the contest, subject to confirmation from final booth-level data. 5. With respect to Bengal, which has seen an eye-popping 91.3% turnout provisionally, the voting escalation may indicate that the saffron party has succeeded in consolidating Hindu voters, though turnout by itself does not reveal the direction of vote share. However, this could also reflect heightened political polarisation and intense ground mobilisation across parties. 6. Most importantly, the high turnout in Bengal may indicate that the voter has shaken off the “fear of reprisals,” while alternative explanations such as competitive intensity and mobilisation cannot be ruled out.

Congress has always opposed the idea of equal rights to women. From Pandit Nehru’s opposition to reforms in the Hindu Code Bill to Triple Talaq, and now the opposition to reservation in 2026, the Congress has consistently opposed progressive reforms. Their anti-women stand even led to Babasaheb Ambedkar resigning from Pandit Nehru's Cabinet in 1951. This is not coincidence, but a clear conspiracy. Since 1996, when the bill was first introduced by Former PM Shri HD Devegowda Ji, the BJP has maintained clear, consistent stand & has been steadfast in favor of women's reservation. Watch as I address a press conference in Pune, Maharashtra today, on Congress's anti-women politics.
