Basics of AI and Machine Learning - first talk of Session 1, Day 1 (13 Mar.) by @Tavpritesh, Associate Professor in dept of Computational Biology & founding head of Center of Excellence in Healthcare at @IIITDelhi. Overview on #AI and ML; talk covered various topics including evolution of #LargeLanguageModels or LLMs (an AI model that uses #machinelearning to understand and generate human language), principles behind their training & assessment metrics. Spoke of pros and cons of AI - use of AI to combat disinformation & in pharmacovigilance but also possibility of 'misinfodemic' due to AI's ability to generate misleading or false information extremely fast.
