The rupee breaching ₹90/$ may sound alarming, but the picture is mixed. 📉 Costlier imports & some inflation pain. 📈 Stronger exports, more remittances, more competitiveness. Let’s understand currencies move with global cycles, not necessarily local issues. A gradual slide to ₹90 is not a sign of worry to me. It can actually help the economy.

Diplomacy, intelligence briefings, national security, those don’t stop for your political theatrics. जब ममदानी चुनाव जीतता है, तब अरफ़ा को अचानक उनका ‘भारतीय मूल’ याद आ जाता है. और मोदी से बधाई की उम्मीद भी जाग उठती है। लेकिन जब दिल्ली में हमला होता है, तब उसी ममदानी से निंदा की उम्मीद क्यों नहीं? क्या भारतीयता सिर्फ़ तब काम आती है जब उससे अपना एजेंडा चमकाना हो? देश तब याद आता है जब किसी विदेशी मंच पर ताली बजानी हो, और ज़िम्मेदारी के वक्त वही देश अचानक गायब हो जाता है। यही है वह दोहरी सोच - जहाँ बधाई माँगना नैतिकता है, और चुप्पी रखना विचारधारा!

जब आप ‘मुख्यधारा मीडिया’ में थे, तब भी सत्ता के सामने झुकना और एजेंडा चलाना उसी मीडिया की पहचान बन गया था। फर्क बस इतना है कि तब वही खेल आपके अनुकूल था। आज जब आप बाहर हैं तो वही सिस्टम आपको बुरा लग रहा है। सच्चाई ये है कि आज की गिरावट की नींव उसी दौर में रखी गई थी जब आपने और आपके जैसे लोगों ने पत्रकारिता की आत्मा सत्ता के चरणों में बेच दी थी।

एक बार फिर टीवी वालों ने अपनी गिरती साख बचाने की कोई कोशिश नहीं है। बिहार परिणाम जो आए लेकिन जिस तरह से न्यूज चैनल पर किसी का मजाक में दिये गये एक्जिट पोल का भी आंकड़ा दिखाया गया वह बहुत ही गलत है। एक भी क्रेडिबल एजेंजी का पोल नहीं था बल्कि सभी सोशल मीडिया ऐसे ही गैर पेशेवर तरीके से कुछ भी रैंडम आंकड़े देने वालों का नंबर दिखाया गया। जबकि एक्जिट पोल दिखाने के लिए सरकार की ओर से तय मानक हैं जिसमें साफ कहना होता है- -एक्जिट पोल का आधार क्या है,सैंपल साइज क्या था -एक्जिट पोल करने के लिए एसांइड किसने किया था ये सारे डिस्कलोजर करने होते हैं न्यूज चैनल को। क्या किसी ने किया?
