Great privilege to be sharing the @Wigmore_hall this morning with some great young singers and @robmuz in aid of @SomervilleOx, generously underwritten by Hamish and Sophie Forsyth. The hall still sounds great and it’s such a thrill to be on that stage, as ever.

I have the feeling there is only ONE place where social distancing is being respected today around the globe: Concert halls and Opera theaters.

Having contracted this wretched virus starting last Saturday I’m now housebound for at least a fortnight. Endless sleeping but starting to improve. No breathing problems but serious flu-like symptoms. Everything has been cancelled for the foreseeable future. Deeply worrying.
