Wild that so many people don’t understand that Craig’s Bond films are self-contained. We start with his first mission and end with his last.
But even outside of that, Bond plays fast and loose with continuity. Bond dying has nothing to do with production on the next film.

Back in my day tumble dryers used to burn out from over use or the motor would wear out, proper reasons for it to die doing the thing it loves, now I've got to put a heater in there simply to make sure it doesn't get too chilly, the poor widdle thing
