Crushing to hear the passing of former NCAA officiating supervisor John Adams. John was the director of officials in the @HorizonLeague when I was at Wright State. We’ve been in contact ever since throughout the years. We would talk, text or DM especially during the basketball season. True story of what a great leader and person he was: Before my very first game as HC he told me he was trying out two new officals. We lost on some very suspect calls by those two officials down the stretch. I was not kind to them after. My actions were wrong. John called me the next morning which was his “cooling off period” for coaches. He told if I ever acted that way again he would suspend me. He also said-those two officials won’t be working in our league. Our conversation was fair and firm and we both moved on. From that point on we hit it off. When he attended games he would walk into the locker room before warm-ups and be brief. Then on the way out he would say “play well.” Recently he told me today’s players and coaches at all levels gotta be classy in victory and defeat. He would brag about his wife Mary Beth, his sons and their grandchildren with such love. I will miss him, his wisdom and our comminication. He made our game better, help many officials and made me better coach. #RIP John Adams. ❤️🏀 @LarryGreer4 @KyleGetter @edhuckaby

A Gentleman who believed in the good of our nation

As a member of Congress, a Cabinet member, a Governor, and as an Ambassador, Bill Richardson was one of the most distinguished public servants of our time. He was a tireless diplomat, the type of advocate who brought a glimmer of hope – and in many cases freedom – to those Americans detained abroad under the most trying circumstances. I was grateful for his counsel over the years, and Michelle and I send our love to his wife Barbara and his entire family.

Deion’s press conference gave everything it needed to give. He’s 100 percent right.
