@SophyRidgeSky @RidgeandFrost If you can charge at home, EVs and PHEVs will still be significantly cheaper to run than ICE so I don’t subscribe to the “I’m sending back my EV” comments. However it’s the thin end of the wedge and the 1.5 / 3p will quickly get to the point where the benefits become marginal.

@chilternrailway Previous announcements warned of services being crowded. I understand the caution around the number of services, but surely they can all run full length if you’re worried about crowding? e.g. GX can take 7 carriages but services are always much shorter.

Chiltern Railways’ customers are advised that a reduced service will be in operation today (Friday 14 November) due to heavy rainfall expected throughout the day. Weather warnings have been issued and a limited service will be in operation on Friday until Saturday (15 November). @GWRHelp Hopefully there will be a learning from this. Once GWR found a diesel train, then it was possible to use the line albeit in a limited way. It’s a shame it took more than 3 hours to find this solution though. Overhead line damage isn’t wholly unusual.
