@elStandard1 @PhilaFanCentral Surely I’m the one turning on our start receiver

Let me explain.
Philly fans have supported AJ through:
- 2-3 years of sideline moping/hissyfits
- passive aggressive social media posts after WINS
- admitting he cares about stats more than winning
- venting about his targets on Twitch streams
- Drops/poor effort in 2025 because he couldn’t control his emotions
Now he’s leaving the Eagles with a huge dead cap hit because he wants out of a contract that he signed through 2028.
Philly gave AJ his best seasons and a championship.
AJ turned on Philly, not the other way around.
This isn’t on the fans.

Philly turned on AJ so bad it’s sad! Yall love us when we help yall win but damn why yall bashing Bruda now ?!
English

@PhilaFanCentral People who sit and talk about him being traded are just wasting their breaths. Howie isn’t gonna trade him and I think he’s made that clear. You guys will do anything for clicks and engagement. When we’re holding a Lombardi again and AJ Brown is there don’t claim yourself a fan.
English

@lord_brunson Dawg you never played football you wouldn’t understand 😂😂😂 you look at every situation from a fan prospective. Niggas don’t just wanna win. They wanna be great AND win. It’s really that simple. They wanna make an impact
English

@_lg1016_ @lord_brunson You are right. Minimum comp on a non exclusionary franchise tag is 2 first rounders. 🎯

@lord_brunson i swear thats what i heard on espn a while back

Adofo-Mensah. The former GM of the Vikings was fired in February. Even though it wasn’t cited as a reason for his dismissal, pundits brought up him taking two weeks off paternity leave in 2023 for the delivery of his child. Many people justified it because of “football culture.”
Mike Vrabel cheats on his wife with a journalist. Decides to wait to “talk to his team first” and is being called a leader with the right priorities.
Weird response. One gets a bad rap for being a good father and husband. The other gets an excuse while being a terrible husband and example. 🤦🏽♂️
Ari Meirov@MySportsUpdate
#Patriots HC Mike Vrabel said he’s had difficult conversations with family and those close to him, and wanted to speak with players first before addressing the media — which is why he waited until today. His full statement is below, via @kstone06:

@kracze Good summary of AJ and the risk adverse offense. I couldnt understand AJ's frustration at first then I looked at it from his POV. Jalen and Siranni's brand of ball is extremely primative and he's looking to be a HOFer.
English

That it came to this - trading #Eagles AJ Brown around June - isn't Howie Roseman's fault. Here's more on the deal that is all but certain to happen.

@CGJXXIII We still got love for you. And AJ doesn’t deserve hate. BUT he doesn’t deserve the love either.
Bruh forced a trade and left the team and fanbase w/picking up the pieces. He’ll forever be stamped as a Champion. But he not getting the Philly love for quitting on the team.
English

@CGJXXIII It’s ok we’ll treat AJ brown way better than these Philly clowns
No wonder every player says it’s way too toxic there

@elStandard1 You may be right because I was basing it on all the trades that happen before the new league year begins that cannot be processed but are always reported on before they’re official
English

“The eventual AJ Brown trade” they’ve been saying since the trade deadline last year lmfao
Jordan Schultz@Schultz_Report
A name that has come up in trade talks is #Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte, who is entering the final year of his contract, according to multiple league sources. With Romeo Doubs coming in and the eventual AJ Brown trade, teams believe he could be available for the right price.

Manning from the top ropes 😂

I will ponder this while I play with my rings…

@Bowling4Birds It’s never been done before. You can post designate a player being released and a being signed. But you can’t designate a trade. The speculation is only being drawn out because of that stupid rule. Otherwise it would be a done deal. Look it up.
English

@elStandard1 They’ve done it before, I still think it’s going to happen don’t get me wrong here, but the speculation is still what it is an attempt to drive the price down
English

@Bowling4Birds So you don’t think that the teams would have a deal announced if they could designate a trade for post June 1st? They can’t do that. So announcing a trade makes zero sense. This is as close as you’ll get. So either read the tea leaves or just be in denial until June 2nd.
English

@elStandard1 I know it’s probably going to happen, but all these reports are all saying the same thing. It’s PROBABLY going to happen, nothings done yet otherwise we would know the return.

@Fly_EaglesBets Devonta is a beast.
He’ll be great. Hurts is a concern though. AJB is also a beast and makes a massive difference. Our best play the last 4 years was just a deep ball when AJB had 1 on 1 coverage and he’d win it.
Going from 2 dawgs to 1 is a big difference
English

With AJ all but gone, the Eagles are ready to hand DeVonta Smith the spotlight, but did the shift to WR1 already begin last season? The numbers suggest it may have already been happening, or at the very least the gap was razor thin:
More receiving yards head-to-head by game:
DeVonta Smith: 9
A.J. Brown: 8
Most receiving yards on the team by game:
A.J. Brown: 7
DeVonta Smith: 6
Dallas Goedert: 3
Jahan Dotson: 1
The torch may not officially have been passed, but it looks like it was already being shared.
