@lukechilds @homakov @SatoshiJimenez @getumbrel @shesek btc-rpc-explorer was recently adapted to support pruned/txindex-less nodes. It obviously limits some functionality, though - you can only explore wallet txs and recent unpruned txs, fee is only available for mempool txs, and no prevout addresses. See github.com/janoside/btc-r….

@lukechilds @homakov @SatoshiJimenez @getumbrel @shesek There's a nicer way to exploit this: omit one of your own unspent outputs from the UTXO set, and add a new fake one with 1M bitcoins. Then, first spend the TXO removed from the set, causing the victim to reject the block and eventually ban its peers, then use the fake output.

@homakov @SatoshiJimenez @getumbrel @shesek And regarding your bet: twitter.com/homakov/status… I distribute a snapshot that contains an invalid pruned chain and a bitcoin.conf that hardcodes peers I control that also serve this invalid chain.

@vladcostea Coming soon(tm) to @eznode_ :-) Will probably get released initially alongside two of my other projects, Spark Wallet and Lightning Charge. Any suggestions for other integrations to prioritize?

@decentralized_b There's the website prunednode.today @StepanSnigirev is maintaining, which you can download from and use with just Bitcoin Core. Specter can also get the snapshot from there and setup everything for you (including Bitcoin Core itself). Also @eznode_ has this too.

@_benkaufman do have a stand-alone project that allows installing a pruned node in few hours? or is the option include in specter-desktop (built-in option)? Thanks!!!
