The 48-hour ceasefire request by #Trump, as per #Iranian media was rejected. The thing to think on though is that the US knows that it would be rejected and sharing this request was perhaps a way for it to paint Iran as unwilling for de-#escalation. The funny thing with narrative construction as some of my #stratcom students would know that in the information age of decentralized media, the narrative needs to be substantiable. 🇵🇰 Foreign policy gains facilitating peace really doesn't mean much if a you can not translate it into domestic gains. If the economy continues to deteriorate, dependence on foreign debt and being dictated by said institutions, and the continued increase in poverty rages then isn't the statesman facilitating the demise of their own people?

At Rs.458/litre, Pakistan now has the 2nd most unaffordable petrol on earth relative to income. Only Ethiopia — with a $1.50 daily wage and $1.30/litre fuel — ranks worse. Every other country, including the poorest in Asia and Africa, is behind Pakistan on this measure.

A point of clarification, Professor. I am an acdemic from Pakistan for context. The clarification I'd request is that whether a prospective route from Pakistan was left out by the system creating the visual or was it not included in the direction given to system generating the graphic. The reason I ask is that there has been a lot of talk on whether or not Pakistan will be pressured to facilitate such a strategic mistake, and I want to know whether tactically, a potential route from Pakistan is not feasible or is it more due to the fact that Pakistani leadership is unlikely to accept taking part in this strategic mistake?
