@trukb22 Do you think we'd willingly be eating here if we weren't paycheck to paycheck?

Dear fast food restaurants of America. Instead of asking me if I want to round up for your charity of choice, how about asking yourself if you want to round down for gouging the shit out of your customers the last 5 years.

@NealMastel Yes but with the confidence that both the celebrity and God are on your side. Maybe it's no different than paying for marketing 😭

@GrainStats Who knows what they mean anyway. I was basically covered, but I usually leave 20% open at the going into the season, especially cause prices were already too high. As soon as this whole situation broke out, I got on the phone and secured the last of it at still higher prices.

@farmer_average ahhhhhh, then it was a small minority then implied 25%->20%, have *not* secured fert that makes more sense of course, when they first came out with it they should have said 80% but that doesn’t rile up emotions as much as 20%

@farmer_average @dcjams The economic benefits go far beyond landowner payments. We’ve added two dozen families, built a new high school from the equivalent tax revenue, and provided a multi million dollar shot in the arm to the local economy during construction. Literally every promise has been kept.

Do you want to be right or do you want to be effective?⁣ ⁣ My golden rule for clean energy: customize the message to the room.⁣ ⁣ Some audiences respond to "climate." Others prefer "environmental protection" or "conservation."⁣ ⁣ Meet people where they are. 🎯

@Mike_Zakrzewski @dcjams Interesting. Around here, economics is an incentive only for the landowners getting rent checks. Everyone else suddenly becomes concerned about beauty, birds, noise, ability for young people to rent farmland, etc. Include their land and suddenly they see it differently 🤷

@dcjams This 100%. When we talked with folks in my county (one of the "reddest" counties in Neb.) about building a wind project we focused almost entirely on economics. They weren't at all interested in hearing about the environmental benefits. Ten years in now, no one is complaining.

@stationmum101 It's a great question, and I don't have a great answer, but I think people are just afraid to try sometimes, they don't want to make a mistake.

Ok - a question for my digital ag friends: What is a key skills gap that you see in farmers when it comes to ag tech/digital comms that is a barrier to adoption & ongoing use? #ausag #agchatoz

“Reacher” star Alan Ritchson was allegedly caught on camera punching his neighbor multiple times in Nashville over a dirt bike speeding/noise complaint. Incident occurred in front of children. Police investigating; no arrest yet.

This has been the grift all along, it's just getting more obvious -- and it's fucking pathetic. Anyone who spends even the smallest bit of time in any market knows I'm not wrong.
Bark@barkmeta

Let me explain what just happened 👇 5 minutes before the President announced a halt to attacks on Iran… someone placed a $1.5 BILLION bet on stocks going up and dumped $192 million in oil. 5 minutes… These trades were 4 to 6 times larger than anything else in the entire market. Whoever did this wasn’t guessing. You don’t risk $1.5 billion on a hunch. There was zero public indication this announcement was coming. No leaks. No press. Nothing. The only people who knew were in the room when the decision was made. Someone in that room picked up a phone. And within minutes they made more money than most Americans will earn in a thousand lifetimes. In a single trade. On a war that cost you $4+ a gallon gas and $16 billion in tax dollars. American citizens funded this war. Politicians are profiting from it. This is not the first time. Every major announcement from this administration has had massive suspicious trades right before it dropped. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts. War decisions. This is the most blatant insider trading operation in the history of American politics. It’s not even close. And it’s happening over and over in broad daylight. You would go to federal prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. These people are front running war decisions with billion dollar bets and nobody will ever ask a single question. Nobody will be investigated. Nobody will be charged. By tomorrow this will be buried under the next satisfying headline. Just like last time. And the time before that. The game is rigged. And they’re not even trying to hide it anymore…
