The whip is a safety device to prevent this if you use it in the right hand. It's shit jockeyship. You shouldn't need this explained to you. He nudged the horse left too

He was in the 5 path and drifted all the way across through knee nudging, wrong rein and whip use. Awful. There's a few jockeys in the UK who'd have ripped him down off the horse after the race.

As usual the comments prove that Ireland is the most racist country in Europe. Ireland’s entire new economy is built on tax breaks for American companies to hire Indians in Ireland, and book their profits (on paper) in Ireland. A simple change in how the USA interprets tax rules would immediately erase $10B/yr from Ireland’s gov’t revenue. All that would take is an email from Bessent or a tweet from Trump. More substantive changes in our tax code would return Ireland to an agrarian role, and move 1000’s of jobs back to the USA.
