When we launched the iOS app we enabled protocol fees and introduced a new referral system. For the past 2 years, @nicechute and I have been extremely cautious about adding risk to the system. We truly believe the way to onboard new users is by creating a safer environment for DeFi: one that can compete with stocks, bonds, and treasuries. However, just like in TradFi, lower risk means lower reward. Our referral system is designed to keep yields competitive without adding risk to the system. 10% of interest earned is kept as a protocol fee, with 50% of that fee shared with the referrer. The more you refer, the more you earn. Top referrers can double or triple their APY, it's unlimited really. And you will keep earning while the referred funds are deposited, forever. Users can now boost their APY, with sustainable stablecoin yield, without taking on any additional risk. For the first time, crypto users have a reasonable option to onboard their friends, family, and colleagues, without forcing them up the risk curve, or into a speculative gamble.
