@Philip_RJ89 We could finish top 10 next season and STILL be relegated the season after, that's the nature of football. So what you might have more empty seats if we went down, use the PL to grow the club. Ellis Short spent way more than Bob Murray but left nowhere near as much of a legacy.

Any SOL expansion at this stage would be very, very premature, for me.
Let’s see where we are in four or five years’ time — after all, who saw the post-2001 downturn coming after we expanded to 49,000?

@Philip_RJ89 It's future proofing and any ambitious club should be looking at it ASAP. Why did Bob Murray build a 42,000 seater stadium when we weren't getting half of that number at Roker Park? It was ambition. You stay still, you go backwards.
