@WhiteHouse More half of adults living paycheck to paycheck. Hundreds of thousands of people homeless. Over 10% of households living under the poverty line. Four in ten with medical debt. A record amount of wealth held by the top 1%. And you're thinking about the moon.

@graveair The inability to articulate the psychedelic experience into anything other than kindergarten all-one gobbledygook reveals the emptiness of both the drug and the user. Of course, all-one, every-nothing, interconnected emptiness is what they are selling. Pod people need drugs.

Most people require a hundred soul-deforming, mind-mutilating psychedelics called GT-600 or New-Delhi Demon to reach what you understood at thirteen, reading Goethe or Verlaine, looking at the eyes of your mother when she is happy—that life is precious, that life is everything.
Bryan Johnson@bryan_johnson

This was the most profound experience of my life. I am stunned beyond comprehension. This molecule is without peer. The 27mg dose opened up what felt like pure consciousness and intelligence. A majestic reveal of existence itself. In all its incomprehensible glory and majesty. It is impossible to explain with words. Whatever you imagine, multiply it by 1,000 and then add infinite width and depth and dimensions. But entrance was not granted without prerequisite. Existence demanded that I submit. That I say yes; without attachment and without condition. Yes to existence; yes to the dissolution of self; yes to release control; yes, to all. My ego registered the ask and panicked. It wanted control. It was desperate for control. It pleaded to escape from the torrent of light and essence that threatened to rip my sanity into chards. The urge to eject was overwhelming. Terror thundered throughout my mind and body. It took everything within me to release. I overcame and was treated with bliss that defies imagination. A euphoria colored with perfect harmony of all things. An orchestra of essence washed over me and swept me up in dance. It was home. The highest aspiration of intelligent life. For some reason, stored and tucked away as the ultimate prize. A single concept emerged in omnipresence: we cannot grok the preciousness of our existence. Yet it is everything we’ve ever wanted and more. The state we long for without knowing it exists. This caused me great pain and heartache. A swell of loyalty and devotion emerged inside me, pledging allegiance to existence. To become a warrior and caretaker of life on earth. To protect at any cost the candle of consciousness that has miraculously emerged in this part of the galaxy. What awaits will wipe all your tears, soothe all your sorrows, and infinitely exceed your wants.

100%. I had to fight my own biases when I was in the classroom for five years. Biased towards "attractive/put together" students? Check. Biased towards girls (with softer grading)? Check (admittedly, but it was minor. I just caught myself). You just feel like you can push the boys a little harder, and you feel like the girls don't have the same level of resilience. It's not true, but those are the vestiges of the same heuristics. It's about finding the students you can push and the ones you need to coddle a little bit and the ones you just need to give light praise to. You have to KNOW your students. It's disturbing to me that so many teachers DON'T notice they do this. It's natural.

You wanna know something even more interesting? Teachers give boys higher grades when they don't know that they're boys.

Interesting findings from this study. 🤔😄 Attractive female students no longer earned higher grades when classes moved online during COVID-19. "When education is in-person, attractive students receive higher grades in non-quantitative subjects, in which teachers tend to interact more with students compared to quantitative courses. This finding holds both for males and females." A Swedish university study found that attractive female students got higher grades in subjective, non-quantitative courses during in-person teaching, but that edge vanished when classes moved online, while the male beauty premium stayed. 307 students across 5 cohorts were rated for attractiveness by 74 independent judges, and the pandemic created a natural split where the same kinds of courses were taught first face-to-face and then remotely. That matters because quantitative courses are graded mostly by exams, while non-quantitative courses leave more room for teacher judgment, so when female students lost the premium only after visibility dropped, the most likely explanation was not skill but the halo effect, where appearance quietly gets mistaken for ability. i.e. when evaluation becomes more anonymous and less face-driven, grades look more like performance and less like perception. My read is that this is less a story about beauty than about how fragile “objective” grading becomes once human impression enters the room. --- techfixated .com/attractive-female-students-got-better-grades-until-classes-went-online/

Yes, white men in 2026 are a great deal more oppressed than black men in 1826. Black men in 1826 were given free food and housing. White men in 2026 are denied resources as aggressively as possible. Black men in 1826 had a place to escape to. White men in 2026 face a global institutionalized genocide with nowhere safe to run. Black men in 1826 were thought of as inferior and forced into the lowest social class. White men in 2026 are again institutionally portrayed as inferior, forced into the lowest rung of society, told that we have no right to exist, are labeled with words like "Nazi" which means "worst possible person," and we are imprisoned and killed if we try to speak up about this. Black men in 1826 would be safe and well-fed if they did what they were told. White men in 2026, even if we do what we are told, we can be attacked in our homes by blacks and illegals who are not supposed to be in our countries at all, and if we defend ourselves the law will throw the book at us. We are not allowed to even be safe and at peace even if we slavishly obey. Black men in 1826 eventually grew into the wealthiest group of blacks in the world. White men in 2026 are going extinct in our own countries while being forced to pay for Somalians to have 20 kids apiece. I could go on, and you know this very well. Once again, you were already aware of all of these things, and you are pretending not to be because you are a stupid, evil, dirty rat, and you are emotionally, financially, and genetically committed to assisting in White genocide, having what looks to be a Chinese wife and kids. You only make yourself look stupid by trying to deny it.

@bumbadum14 Do you think white men in 2026 are more “oppressed” than black men in 1826? That’s the claim in question.

just learned about parkinson’s law: work expands to fill the time available for its completion. if the deadline of a report is in a week’s time, one will “stretch” the task over that one week, when in actuality it needed only a few intense hours. and that’s terrifying quite frankly, because one thinks they have all the time in the world to get their life in order, thus giving them indefinite allowance to endlessly procrastinate their arrival. and my question to you is: what if what you’re proud of achieving this last year could’ve been done in a month? think it through, be serious for once.

Being a founder is one of the greatest convex experiences in life. Even if you fail you will learn more than 99% of your peers who never take a risk. But if you succeed. The upside is unquantified as it can change your life. Your outlook on life and everything else. Do it.
