@JuliaHB1 They are free; the children and parents don’t pay for them, so they are free; it’s not hard to grasp.

The breakfasts are not free. They are paid for by taxes - mostly on parents who feed their own kids. Most of these 10,000 children would have had a perfectly healthy breakfast at home without these clubs. This isn't about helping the poorest kids, it's the state taking over the basic job of parenting.

My pleasure to welcome @Keir_Starmer @AndyBurnhamGM and @bphillipsonMP to Holy Trinity primary school in Ashton this morning. 33 new free breakfast clubs will open across Greater Manchester this week, giving 10,000 more children a free, healthy start to the school day. That’s Labour on your side. 🌹

Breaking News🇬🇧: "We have a working figure of 700k that we would deport as a result of the 'Boris Wave'". Reform Leader @Nigel_Farage and his Spokesman For Home Affairs Zia Yusuf outline the numbers calculated for deportation if/when elected into UK Government. Whilst many will welcome the sentiments of 'mass deportations', estimates of total arrivals vary, with some reports citing 4.8 million total, and net migration around 2.6 million, largely consisting of dependents, students, and workers. So in reality this is a paltry number perhaps 4 million short of making an impact?

Lots of people asking if I sleep. Evidently, no. Three years ago my business partner and I started a company because nobody our age could cook. We all just lived off fast food deliveries. Devastating for health and for our bank accounts. Now a food inflation shock is coming for everyone’s wallet and I think what we’ve built matters more than ever. Sayvr lets you scan your food, turns it in to recipes, and can track your health. Our British-designed hardware turns any fridge smart, tags expiry dates, cuts waste, saves money. The timing wasn’t planned. But here we are.

Ha! I’ve just been refused entry onto a plane from Stansted to Bologna because my passport issue date is March 2016. The expiry date is August 2026 but the rule is 10 years from issue date. Another Brexit benefit. Apparently. Go home now.

@ephemeral_015 @soft_lob @EssexPR @ZackPolanski British Columbia did have some success early on, overdose deaths did reduce at first, crime reduced resulting in fewer arrests, Canada did not invest in the way Portugal did, so it does work.

@ftf_nr @soft_lob @EssexPR @ZackPolanski Canada/British Columbia? No it fucking wasn't it was a complete disaster, so much so the program was suspended just a few weeks ago. Drug deaths remain the highest cause of death in adults, less people were seeking treatment for addiction. What research have you done?

@LawrenceBr82505 @EssexPR @ZackPolanski There’s no strong evidence that the policy itself is failing because it is too expensive, most research and public health assessments still view the system as largely successful overall, even if under pressure

@ftf_nr @EssexPR @ZackPolanski The reason it's beginning to fail in Portugal, is due to the cost and their financial situation. The cost of the Greens policy would come at a huge cost that would be picked up by the Tax payers.

@ftf_nr @EssexPR @ZackPolanski Actually it would cost far too much along with their other moronic ideas. We need Romania's stance on drugs and more police back on the streets.

@EssexPR @ZackPolanski Prostitution is effectively already decriminalised in practice, as it’s widely visible online and rarely met with police intervention.
