Ducks can only finish as high as second place now in the Pacific Division. They can also fall to the second wild card which would mean they would face the Avs. 🥴

@LO_Ducks To be fair Dostal/Husso aren't starters so odds are unless they score 5 every night they're going to lose. Starters don't give up 4+ goals every night like Dostal and Husso.

@rollingdux Agreed 100%. Also though, is it crazy for me to think they don’t want it easy for themselves. They play better under high pressure against better teams. They like being the underdog.

Everyone arguing about different things but all correct at the end of the day: 1. Ducks season no matter what has been a success. 2. Ducks have thrown away an opportunity to make lives easier for themselves 3. Ducks are right where they belong.

And no, criticizing this team doesn’t make you a bad fan. It’s awesome they made the playoffs and there’s no doubt they’ve taken steps forward this year. But the immaturity and constant clunkers is definitely an issue. It’ll get better as this team gets more experienced, no doubt. But it’s bad right now

Two things: 1. Goaltending. Per NST, In his last 7 games, Lukas Dostal has had just ONE quality start (positive GSAx). Conversely, opposing goalies have been other-worldly hot. This is the 5th quality start and 2nd outright steal (2+ GSAx) the last 6 gms from an opp. goalie.

@ducks2007quack wtf more you want him to do? Go out there and play for them? He’s gotten a lot out of this roster. It also doesn’t help that the ducks have below average goaltending right now

My problem with Q is he doesn’t seem to adjust. He rides hot hands even if it’s detrimental to the team. This team has either been an abomination or dominant. doesn’t seem to be able to lead the team through tough times bc we’ve seen this year when it gets tough it gets ugly
