$AMD +$12.1M profit now. What's the exit plan from here?

@thestockmd Is this a life changing return? Then booking some profit is recommended. Selling covered calls can be one way. ?Trailing the 50day moving avg. You can see what QCOM did on the 1995-2000 to get and idea to manage this one. I can see SOXX reaching 1500-2000 in this cycle.

@CFlanders7 62%. Time to trim I guess , semiconductor heavy portfolio, entered at NVTS and SOXX on April 2025. Added some TQQQ in April 2026.

@cperruna Why sell $COST then and not $MSFT

Holding a winner (a position with a sizable gain) through a drawdown allows it to breathe and potentially continue the run. One may add more shares on the drawdown if the fundamentals still hold true. Holding a loser (a new position that immediately turns into a loss) "until it comes back" burns your capital. Don't allow an immediate small mistake turn into a larger portfolio destroyer. Cutting a loss at 10% is easy to fix. Waiting until it's down 50% requires a substantial move just to get to even. Don't bag hold losing postions. Cut losses early. Let winners breathe.

Often times price precedes news The best charts in the market and the best "setups" are set up that way because of institutional activity This is why my main focus is trading stocks coming out or setting up in big weekly bases... Its not that I'm trying to predict a move.. I'm looking to align myself with institutional activity The biggest moves come from the bigger time frames If you focus on these type of setups you will see an improvement in your stock selection The bigger the base the bigger the move. $NBIS +16% today on news

@n_bancroft2 It’s surprising that some of these “older” long forgotten tech companies are outpacing NVDA. Look at BELFB broke out of a multi decade of going nowhere and just straight up after Apr 2025. CSCO trying to do the same as it finally tries to break dotcom highs.

@growingleaps ah yeah looks awesome bigger picture. As mentioned I sold some because of earnings coming up, shouldn't have taken second trim but one to learn from

$TER great action in to new highs yesterday. About a 48% gain now. Not massively happy with how I've handled it though. First sell was fine as had earnings and wanted to lock some in. Second sell was pure emotional given the overall market action, poor given how the stock did nothing wrong and bounced off the 5ema. The result is it's a good gain but don't have as much size as I should. One to learn from
