Cyclone Gezani reaching the coast of Mozambique this afternoon with winds near 100mph (160kph) sustained. Significant impacts expected along the coast of Inhambane province.

11 countries across Africa are responding to cholera outbreaks in 2026. In recent weeks, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Namibia, and Ethiopia have recorded an increase in cases. UNICEF and partners are helping deliver cholera vaccines, medical supplies and life-saving services.
