@NoYouAreTheAlt @nikicaga I mean choices rarely matter in these type of 'choices matter' games, there's a set narrative throughout the series and you can't stray too far outside of it. You can still enjoy the story presented just don't expect choices to wildly impact the story in a different way.

Doctor Who used to do crazy experimental shit every Regeneration until someone came in and said, "Um,,, tea kettle sound, t-pose, orange lasers" and then every regeneration suddenly looked the same

@Luna_100_0 @eldradmvstlive Oh wild you've never seen it, I do like her and 3 deffo an underrated dynamic. I like how SJA just explores her character deeper, gives her more backstory and development, having her as the lead role is a great fit for her character. Growing up with SJA she was like a second mum.

@quinnthegm Thank you for speaking on his defence, people totally misunderstand Ned's character and the choices he makes. Obviously he makes mistakes and is naive, but those aren't what you're supposed to take away from his story. His mercy is what is so important.

@makeupfakelove_ I don't like Series 2 much and find it a very mixed bag but it has much higher highs for me so it easily clears Series 15 imo

Arguably TRW is worse than anything (and the season had it's issues otherwise) but I have clear biases towards one of these doctors so I'm choosing s2 (well... Series 15)

@TokuBLWhovian It's fine, I can understand the misunderstanding of thinking it adds mystery, but by adding new lore it really just does the opposite.

The difference between Moffat's big changes and the big changes of Chibnall and RTD2 is that Moffat's writing made it seem like he put extensive thought into maintaining some internal consistency that makes it feel like one continuity, one show... (Thread?)

@Gugullig First 2 are genuine cinematic disasters in almost every way. RotS is also quite bad. John Williams is the only reason why the people who have grown up with this movie have the nostalgia bias that they do. Bad direction, script, acting, visual flair, lightsaber choreography, etc.

@Q_Review Yeah this is a big part of why people have struggled to connect with everything after Series 10 because it feels so distant and disconnected to previous eras and there's inconsistencies which S1-10 didn't have. It also not being as good doesn't help either.

@acequeenkingpin @PseudoJerryS @Q_Review Why are you singling out RTD and Moffat? Every writer after Brain of Morbius decided it was stupid having pre-Hartnell Doctors and it was never brought up again until TTC over 40 years later.

@PseudoJerryS @Q_Review I would add the lore is always flexible for this very purpose. So new writers can tell new stories. They have always retconned one another and changed things and it’s timey wimey and all that. TTC ties pretty directly into Morbius doctors which was something RTD/moffat ignored.
