@jadexskywalker @Carverl_ It just does not work thematically at all, her narrative in the story is a metaphor for gay conversion therapy, punishing a character for being gay is absolutely the wrong message, her living a happy life with a girlfriend is what the character deserves & the audience need to see

@Carverl_ It was setup well and they did a great job with it. But I’d much prefer she died a Cyberman.

My biggest issue with a lot of Doctor Who is how frequently we get the setup for an amazing tragic ending for a character, only for the show to go through ridiculous hoops to undo or correct the tragedy in an incredibly unsatisfying or less impactful way. Maybe a hot take? Idk.

@jadexskywalker The Moffat ones work cos they were actually building towards those endings, the RTD ones feel a lot more shoe-horned in as feel goods and really clash with the previous conclusions to the characters.

@TPrower1 @VisualMae If it went on for 5 seasons like planned it would've had a more divisive ending, just having 2 seasons makes people appreciate it more

@WildBlueJacob I wouldn't go that far, the first act is a mess but the second act is really solid and had lots of potential, then everything just gets unbelievably bad at the end
