Still plenty to play for but we're really up against it now. There are only so many lessons or learnings you can take - we're at winning time now. We have built an (expensive) squad to win - this group have to win. Need to sort ourselves out because this isn't good enough.
Phil Costa@_PhilCosta

I haven't felt good about Arsenal since the turn of the year but any and all concerns were constantly batted away. You just get a feeling watching a team - we haven't been playing well, we haven't looked good for months now. It's not negativity. It's just saying what you see.

Germany now requires all men between the ages of 17 and 45 to obtain permission from the military before leaving the country for more than three months.

@CinemaTweets1 Saw it tonight as well, I thought it was excellent. Like you said, original and impressively made. Zendaya in particular was amazing IMO.

#TheDrama (🌟🌟🌟🌟) is one fucked up movie. And I say that in the most complimentary way possible. The story here is totally unhinged & weirdly refreshing- refreshing in its originally. There will be some people who will inevitably find the plot totally offensive. I am not “some people.” The Drama sort of woke me up in that sense: we’re given so much recycled & reused material, I almost wasn’t prepared for something this unpredictable. If you were to ask me about Robert Pattinson & Zendaya, I would simply tell you that they’re each utterly excellent in this film. What more do you want from movie stars? What more do you expect? See this film. See it now. The Cinema Tweets guarantee has always been & will always be the following: spoiler free reviews. I refuse to break that rule here. All you really need to know about the plot is that Robert Pattinson & Zendaya meet in a coffee shop, fall in love, and decide to get married. The one hitch? Pattinson learns something new- and very important- about Zendaya’s past just days before their wedding. What that “something” is can only be learned from actually seeing the movie. I’m not going to break that seal for you right now. The power of the story here, without giving anything important away, is that it confronts you with the following question: how well do you actually know the person you might marry? Pattinson’s character thinks he knows all there is to know about the woman he’s about to walk down the aisle, but learning a key piece about Zendaya’s past now changes the calculus completely. But the initial plot-line opens up a lot of doors to subplots that make this film more & more interesting. How well does Pattinson actually know himself? Who is he to judge? Or maybe he’s just making excuses because he doesn’t want to embarrass himself by calling off the wedding? The whole idea here is that in learning about his fiancé’s complicated past, Pattinson’s entire state of mind is completely flipped upside down & he loses control. Which could not be more entertaining because it blends humor & actual emotional drama together so well. But suppose you put the story aside- which, I can’t emphasize enough, feels so totally original. The direction & filmmaking is also great. I thought both were also surprisingly refreshing. The editing in this movie stands out. Flashbacks are interwoven with the present moment in a way that keeps the plot moving forward. I thought the editing & the way in which the story was told felt extremely engaging. Some might complain that the editing here makes audiences aware that they’re watching a film. I never felt that. I thought the filmmaking & editing kept me on my toes and added to the suspense and unpredictably of the story. Then there’s Pattinson & Zendaya. They’re not necessarily the first two A-Listers I would pick to star opposite each other in a “romantic comedy” but their chemistry here is beyond strong. That’s because Pattinson & Zendaya both have strong individual comedic timing & they can both- despite their fame & incredible good looks- play relatable characters. Pattinson & Zendaya are totally believable as a young couple in love trying to figure each other out. Their shared insecurities of one another lead to a lot of real moments. Both actors give a lot of range here, which also calls upon their humor. I just really loved spending time with these two. People always complain that we don’t have movie stars or real rom-coms, but what else are you expecting from a film like this & its two lead actors? Do you really think Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks would do a better job of holding this film down than Pattinson & Zendaya? I don’t. These two exceeded my expectations and together delivered performances that made me actually feel something. With that said, I do have to add one criticism before I wrap this review. I felt like Alana Haim was totally miscast as Zendaya’s maid of honor. There was a real opportunity for a stand-out performance from Haim’s character. I don’t think she’s the right actor for this role & she’s my biggest criticism of this film. There are countless other actors who would’ve been better suited for this movie. At day’s end, The Drama impressed me. The story, the filmmaking…the acting. There are multiple reasons why I consider this movie a success, regardless of its box office numbers. This is but another strong entry for 2026.

@_Zeets yeah i think the internet has definitely normalised a level of absurd behaviour. in the past fanatics were seen as rare, weird, something to make fun of. now it's like a game to see who can mobilise and defend their chosen 'person' most viciously

I don’t get why people feel that if you’re a fan of someone or something, that you have to defend everything that they do. I think spectrum of fandom has shifted so much because stans are so insane now that regular fans behave like how stans in the past would.

This isn’t even capitalism. It’s medieval lordship. Father starts a war. Sons sell the weapons to countries that need his protection to survive. Buyers know the purchase is tribute. Saddam Hussein would have recognised it instantly. The US isn’t a democracy right now. It’s a protection racket with a flag. Britain needs to face that fact - and build something different with Europe before it’s too late.

Snobbery is so engrained in the UK. There's always a sprinkle of bitterness and vim added too. Shop where you like, buy a meal deal, walk as much as you want to. Everyday is a non issue arguement on here.
