Some days he feels so alone he could cry, but doesn’t. He never does. Because what would be the point? Not a single person in the entire universe would care.
And he will take it to his grave.

As it stands, too many female characters serve the plot by being girlfriends to more important male characters. Rae died in the comics, but lives in the show only to be Rex‘s girlfriend. And then she left.

The point is obviously that some of these established characters would be welcome to still be a part of the story. Rae wouldn‘t be a bad addition to the Guardians and Amber could be Eve‘s best friend, for example.
