C'mon you abandoned atomicity & sharding a long time ago. The least you can do is stop shitting on legitimate fundamentals & tech progress with these BS justifications of "L2 good, L1 bad!". Atomicity of both execution AND commitment is extremely important in many use-cases. To say it is a UX/wallet problem pushes the required solutions to individual developers. Composability imports failure surfaces from each dApp with which the transaction interacts. Therefore developers of all dApps need to have a deep understanding of all other dApps to ensure that there is no condition where there may be some hanging state. Add in all the different primitives of all the different L2s & developers have a real headache at best.

Kyle is right here Unpopular opinion - this is why AggLayer is prob more valuable to solve fragmentation than any type of based/shared sequencing/preconfs/etc #1 value of sequencing layer is ability to easily & permissionlessly spin up a reliable, secure, decentralized chain

Without tools to control our identity, blockchain is not better than the internet, it is worse. Radix has decided to make sure that private, permissionless and decentralised identity primitives are built into the Radix ledger to ensure that control always stays with the user.

I paused this morning, cleared my mind & looked at this post thinking about what it means. I don't do that enough, as I'm sure others don't either; Stop, reflect & recognise. We focus obsessively on the end goal, we become numb to the progress we make in getting there. As teams, as individuals & as collectives. Especially over long timelines! Well over a decade ago now I stepped away from #bitcoin due to concerns about how it might scale, remain decentralized, the emerging politics & other things. The energy which was born there, to develop, collaborate on & improve #bitcoin has been used here to fuel the path to what we see in this post. A fast, responsive, scalable, decentralized, secure, composable, atomic protocol which can be used to carry *all* of our #web3 demands (buzzword overload). What I set out to achieve all that time ago, is proven in theory and soon will be in practice. It's a small step from 100k to 1M+ Everyone who's been with me, and later the #radix team on this journey in whatever capacity, should also pause, take stock, pat yourself on the back and be proud!

If a sharded network doesn't have deterministic safety, it can not have atomic commitment! If you don't have atomic commitment, you are making life hard for your developers. If you are making life hard for your developers, they are going to make mistakes. If they make mistakes, the users are going to have a bad experience or lose funds. If your users have bad experiences or lose funds, they are eventually going to look elsewhere. If they look elsewhere they are going to find #radix
