For the next 100 days, I’m committing to post every single day about building Povel — a calm, minimalist travel memory capsule app. I want to create a beautiful, simple place where Photos, Expenses, Locations, and Plans live together so you can easily relive your trips with friends and family. I’ll share the honest journey: the reason I started, struggles, design choices, small wins, and lessons — one chapter per day. Building Povel — Chapter 11: AI features I’m adding What: Povel uses AI to intelligently parse receipts, itineraries, and bookings so users can focus on memories instead of manual data entry. Why: I want adding moments to feel effortless. Whether before a trip (planning) or after (remembering), people shouldn’t have to type everything manually. How: AI can parse receipts to auto-fill expense amount, shop name, activity, and even location pin. You can send PDFs, screenshots, or take photos of flight, hotel, or theme park tickets — it extracts the important details. If you create itineraries with ChatGPT, you can paste the text and Povel will parse it. Items without dates go to a Wishlist, while dated ones go straight into the timeline. It works pretty well already. I designed it with two modes in mind: planning before the trip, and using it as a memory notebook during/after the trip. Lesson: AI should stay in the background — quietly helping organize the trip so the real focus remains on the emotions and memories. What do you think? → povel.app

I hope Anthony Loke is listening….. 2 Malaysian Chinese brothers raced in high speed recklessly with their luxury vehicles in Kluang and killed an entire family of 4 including a 10-year-old child many people are angry calling for death penalty but do you know what is the max penalty for him under our Road Transport Act 1987? • max 10 years prison • max RM20,000 fine • that’s it this Chinese guy is wealthy and he will hire great lawyers…… we must voice up together for the Malay family to uphold the justice Anthony Loke, I hope you are listening
