Long chats - bigger context -more tokens burned. Then people let it rewrite the same code again and again and keep using Opus for everything. That’s why you run out so fast. Real fix = context engineering: > Run compact often > Build reusable scripts > Use Sonnet or Haiku for simple tasks If you are not doing this, you are wasting tokens.
