@_iammartinn @Hunter2James As you will be aware the current proposal on the table mandates a certain quality of grass pitch be maintained, with a pitch consultancy firm brought on board to help all top flight clubs meet and maintain that standard.

Members of the St.Mirren Independent Supporters Association (SMiSA), which owns the majority shareholding of the club, have voted 93% in favour of the proposed resolution to ban artificial surfaces in the SPFL Premiership from season 26/27. That result has been passed to the football club board ahead of the 12 club vote which needs 9 in favour to be passed.

@pieandbov @REM_Monster I'm astonished as someone who always actively seeks improvement for fans and clubs in scotland has this stance. Talking absolute tripe, Airdrie and raith have played the best football in the Championship. Any other point?

@REM_Monster Training on an artificial pitch is totally irrelevant. Nobody is paying to watch training. This is an entertainment business and if you want the best players to perform at their maximum then you give them the best possible surface you can. And that surface is grass.
