Featured talk from @ryolu_ Wow, what a presentation 🤯 - Software used to be a slow, expensive loop; the new loop is cheap and fast. - Try something, the world answers, you notice what was wrong, you adjust, you build intuition. - If AI makes execution cheaper, but judgment weaker we do not get a renaissance, we get sloppy working buttons. - The danger is that we turn into approvers, not makers. - A boring future is software the builds itself while humans watch. - Cursor Glass is called Glass bc it provides as much visibility as you want to see. - Taste is when the thing feels like it came from someone. - Software is clay to be molded. - Build the thing, use it, notice what feels wrong, and change it. - Faster prototyping helps arrive at conviction; discover it by building. - Faster contact with the material. Faster conviction. - Software used to have texture. - When execution is cheap, craft moves upstream to judgment and downstream to what did our work change / who did it serve? - Humans are not passive approvers, they are authors.
