@UselessFodder The first time the US has won Olympic gold in 46 years and only the second time they have won a "best-on-best" tournament (first time being 30 years ago in 1996). Today is also the anniversary of the "Miracle On Ice" and Johnny Gaudreau Jr's birthday.

Legitimately sad that Olympic hockey is over. Some of the best games I've ever seen back to back to back, women's and men's. So many last minute goals to go to OT and exciting finishes in sudden death No other game like it. Can't believe I gotta wait 4 more years

I'll be honest, I don't think the USA deserved to win that one. Canada played better hockey pretty much that whole game But Hellebuyck's godlike performance kept us in it and we finally managed to capitalize on a lucky break in OT That's all that matters to get the gold!
