@Komaniecki_R But there’s something to heed. Theory, follows and documents practice, e. g. Anon IV. If music theory starts to predict, the result is deadly. Because music is ever changing, so must its theory. Students need to see that we as teachers understand that, in order to trust us.

Harlem Renaissance poet Angelina Weld Grimke was gay, but born into a mixed race pre-Emancipation dynasty, she put loyalty to her family before her own sexuality. “El Beso”, sung Sunday afternoon by two sopranos, depicts Grimke’s poignant unrequited love.

@warevolf @piesaac Helpful. Much more inviting for musicians who want to get real. Gives ownership of learning. I’ve been working on something for beginners that can underlie all the style hats while speaking to intuitive linguistics of music…for collegiate beginners it works well.
