@WG_RumblePants Used to be our arch rivals - the only artificial strip on the Island back in the day. It was fast and they had the fastest bowler on the Island too: Jeff Hose (father of Worcs batter Adam Hose). The slope was odd because the ball would often plug, robbing you of a boundary.

Some photographs you just cannot understand. I saw this in the newspapers and for the life of me could not fathom how a batsman as technically accomplished as Mike Atherton got clean bowled, middle stump, while attempting what seems to be a hook against Courtney Walsh.
