Today’s palliative happenings. Someone passed away a few rooms down the hall from mom’s room. The coroner had to come and do their thing. While It was sort of good to know what to expect it was another reminder that the journey is a short one.

@ESL_fairy I’ve always understood “childlike” to be a compliment, while “childish” is an insult. I wonder why? I love the spirit of children and hope for more of that in my life.

Let’s not use the word “childlike” as an insult. Instead, let’s all endeavour to be just a little bit more like children: honest, compassionate, curious, wise, open to learning, excited by the everyday miracles of the world around us, and able to truly live in the present.

Just taking a moment to cry in my car because I’m angry at myself for freezing instead of speaking up when some people started making anti-Asian racist remarks while I was in a store. I feel scared and completely lose my voice in these situations.

I packed 4 outfits in a carry-on for an 8 day trip (with iffy weather). This is a first for me. I can do it, right?
