Accurate, but not unlike what we've seen before. Wordpress templates → Lookalike blogs Spotify themes → Lookalike checkout flows CSS frameworks → Lookalike UI components I don't see vibe coding as the issue. We are just seeing the same evolutionary phase in the process where we shipping more and faster to leverage what vibe coding gives us, rather refining and scaling. The real designs will come when it's time to grow and scale.

“I can build any app in a few minutes with AI” Sure you can. The problem is now every app looks like it was designed by the same designer (bad one) Different product. Same UI. Kinda miss when every app had its own personality.

@MichaelHyatt @claudeai You’ve gotten some really good responses so far. Similar to what I’ve experienced with Claude and other AI coding tools. Even as an experienced software engineer I find myself having to be very deliberate with guiding it closely and I still catch missteps.

I’m Giving Up on @claudeai Opus 4.6 for Now. Here's Why. This morning, I had a very long conversation with Claude Chat about creating a new WordPress theme for a new site I'm launching. I gave it tons of examples. It answered numerous questions. We iterated and improved the design. I finally gave it the green light to start building. It started scanning my existing site and then I started getting error messages. So I'd click the Retry button to try again. I did that three times and then boom. The conversation completely vanished from Claude. I asked Claude where it went. It said it didn't know and had no control over that. Not a very satisfactory answer. And now I'm reluctant to recreate that conversation because I don't have confidence that this won't happen again. Clearly, Anthropic's shipped this without thinking it through. Don't they beta test their software, before they push it to production? Anyone else experienced something similar?

Real grit is simple: just keep showing up.

Between the Epstein nonsense, the floods, Al threats, and economic pundits screaming at each other, I reached my breaking point. I can't control any of the above things. None of them. So I turned off all the media and got to work. I called real people who are currently working to help with the flood recovery. I made a small donation to a trustworthy cause. I cleaned up a specific mess in my house that has been bothering me for weeks. I took my daughter out for pizza. I did something very physically challenging. I walked the dog and I took out the trash. I reached out to tell a few people how grateful I am for them. I prayed...a lot. And so on... You will not scroll or outrage your way to peace. Go find the next right thing and get after it. It's the only true path to peace. Delony
