European Citizens' Initiative (ECI) to suspend the 🇪🇺EU 🇮🇱Israel Association Agreement has passed the threshold for 11 countries and at 1,034,599 signatures now.
🇫🇷France 🇧🇪Belgium 🇪🇸Spain 🇮🇹Italy 🇮🇪Ireland 🇫🇮Finland 🇸🇪Sweden 🇩🇰Denmark 🇳🇱Netherlands 🇵🇱Poland 🇵🇹Portugal have passed the threshold. Incredible! 🫶🏾
We needed minimum 7 countries to pass the threshold.
We have 11 countries that passed the threshold.
For a European citizens' initiative to be valid, it must obtain at least one million valid signatures and meet the minimum thresholds in at least seven countries.
This was not just on track to reach the 1 Million threshold; this may well become the most supported EU Citizen Initiative EVER.

Let me be crystal clear; the only country bombing Lebanon for the last two years is Israel. The only country forcibly displacing over a million people is Israel. The only country killing children, paramedics and journalists is Israel. The only country committing egregious acts of ecocide with white phosphorus is Israel. The only soldiers who have threatened me and my colleagues for telling the truth are Israeli soldiers.
I am a witness. I have photos and video of all of it. NPR, do better. Your correspondent in Beirut knows what’s actually happening. Let them say it.

Many people have watched this video and praised the Israeli security forces for detecting the infiltration. I watch it and feel something else - sadness.
We don’t yet know who these men are, but they’re likely not terrorists. They’re people trying to get into Israel to work, to earn a living and to provide for their families and if that means cramming in to a garbage truck then they are willing to do it.
That’s why this video isn’t an accomplishment but a reminder that another people lives here too - most of whom want what anyone else wants: a job, stability, a future for their children.
And yet beyond military operations - in Gaza, in the West Bank - there is no political horizon. Talks happen in Washington about Lebanon, but closer to home it’s as if there’s nothing to discuss.
That’s not just bad policy. It’s wrong.

Vance says that stopping funding for Ukraine is one of his proudest achievements in this administration. I’m watching this stunningly cruel speech from Ukraine, as Russia continues to kills us every day. Just today, they killed 8-year-old boy in Cherkasy and five people in Dnipro. Dozens more were injured. The military assistance you are so proud of stopping was used to save lives in a war Russia started and continues every day by choice, in a war that only became possible after USA pressured Ukraine into disarming... I do not know if Vance can fully comprehend the scale of the tragedy unfolding here: a brutal, illegal war of extermination by Russia, and the slow abandonment by our allies. There is nothing to be proud of. Absolutely nothing.

Given the fact that this was a bilateral negotiation between the US and Iran that did not include Israel, why did Vice President JD Vance even take his phone call? It makes it seem like both President Trump and the Vice President are subordinates of Netanyahu which they likely are.
