Look at this. This wallet has just put an $800,000 bet on boots on the ground in Iran. They previously were right about the time US struck Iran first. Unusual.

I have spent a good part of my career just getting people to believe this was actually happening. Now we are here. With 15 drones, you can lose roughly 1/4 of the B-52 force as it sits idle on the ground. This was always the most concerning scenario. Time to move to hardening. Just a matter of time now till we learn the hard way.
Hey, Dave!@davegreenidge57

Barksdale AFB was hit by multiple waves of drones over a week’s time. The base houses numerous nuclear weapons.

One of my predictions in our Climate Brink year end wrapup was that 2026 might be the first year where global clean energy investment exceeds global military spending. Unfortunately with recent wars we will likely have to wait a few more years for it to occur

Trump: "I'm letting everybody that builds a plant build their own electric plant. So they're building a massive plant that's 4 miles long by 4 miles wide, and I'm letting them build electric plants. Some are nuclear, some are oil and gas, some are coal as a backup just in case."

Went on a hike along this ROW to conduct some IRL research. Mea Cupla… I was wrong, every single runner or cyclist that came by suffered a season-ending ACL tear or torn Achilles.

@bjt2n3904 Sure. I just see accounts with American flags claiming he deserved to be shot because he brought a gun to a protest.

Where are the 2nd Amendment advocates? People carry guns to have lunch, go to a movie, walk down the street, ride a subway, as part of their daily lives. Yes, that means carrying a gun to a protest, too. Carrying guns is not evidence of a crime or intent.
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

Q: Did he brandish a gun? KRISTI NOEM: This individual showed up to impede a law enforcement operation and assaulted our officers. I don't know of any peaceful protester that shows up with a gun and ammunition rather than a sign. This is a violent riot when you have someone showing up with weapons

The image being shown by DHS isn't even the weapon the guy had on him. They literally pulled an image from google search.

I really worry that reliance on cloud-based black box AI is the biggest re-centralizing of computing we’ve seen since personal computing gave everyone capability at the edges (home/office), and a huge risk to privacy/freedom. Making it harder to even purchase hardware (though I hope that part sorts out). Use and develop with local LLM where you can.

I've straightened out many metering errors over the years Apartment 100 is paying for apt 101's electricity Apt 202 is paying for 203's, 203 is paying for 204's, and 204 is paying for 202's Hell once the crew that built a 4-story 48-unit apartment building used prints that numbered units 1-12 on each floor from North to South to build the building Then after it was built the team that numbered the doors numbered each unit 1-12 from South to North All of this wreaks havoc on electric utility billing, as knowing which unit is paying for which electricity is a paper shuffling exercise. It's humans all the way down. There's no technology available to define it In today's version, this is happening at a 400 MW power plant 😂 @xiaowang1984
