No, the ICE agent isn't "kneeling on his neck". Yes, yes, ICE is the modern gestapo, a bunch of thugs operating without accountability. What I'm arguing is that you cannot "see" what's happening here. You think you clearly see the ICE agent kneeling on his neck like with George Floyd, but you don't. What you see here is the approved, trained technique of kneeling OVER the neck. The difference is that the weight is still mostly on the other leg, and on the heels. The knee is extended over the neck to prevent the target from being able to lift their head, but the weight is not on the neck, it's on the heels and other leg. You can watch the agent leading up to this point, where the ICE agent is carefully placing his foot in the right position, so that the weight stays on his back heels and other leg, then extends his knee over the target's neck. This technique is extensively trained for and approved, and is included in most training manuals. That's why you know Chauvin's claim of using his training is false. His weight was on Floyds neck, not on his other leg or heels. He was definitely NOT trained to do this. The two procedures are different for exact the reasons shown, that one can injure the person, and the other simply immobilizes them without injury. The point of this tweet isn't to defend or attack Chuavin or ICE, but to point out that you and I can see the same videos but see completely different things, and that some education is important.

BREAKING: ICE just broke Minnesota law detaining an American Citizen and kneeing on his neck, which was outlawed after the George Floyd murder. Trump wants this to keep escalating so that he can continue to consolidate more and more power within the federal government. The more power he has the more he can screw up the 2026 election.

Trump threatened military action against Danemark to take Greenland. People ignore this fact, thinking that he didn't really mean it. But Europeans took his threats seriously.
ChrisO_wiki@ChrisO_wiki

1/ Denmark was reportedly preparing for full-scale war with the US over Greenland in January, with military support from France, Germany, and Nordic nations. Elite troops and F-35 jets with live ammunition were sent, and runways were to be blown up to prevent an invasion. ⬇️

NEW: President Trump makes four false claims in a 43-word post about Tina Peters. Peters is 70 (not 73), does not have cancer, was sentenced by a judge in Mesa County (not the Governor), and did not expose fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

I wonder about abuse like this. I understand the frustration: so many people seem deficient in what's obvious to me. In this case, the person has read the SAVE Act, read the part that says "Real ID", and concludes I'm deficient for not having read it. That text says: "(1) A form of identification issued consistent with the requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005 that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the United States." The dispute, though, is about what this means. He thinks it means all Real ID is sufficient to register to vote. I think otherwise. A Real ID does not indicate citizenship, and is indeed given to non-citizens, and is not sufficient. What the text is referring is "Enhanced Real ID" that indicates citizenship status. Only 5 states issue such IDs, and not be default. Thus, 90% of the population cannot use their Real IDs (alone) to register to vote, change their registration, or challenge the state trying to purge the voter roles of people who have not proven their citizenship status. This is a problem that any AI will describe, such as @grok. Just ask them if Real ID is sufficient, or whether additional proof of citizenship is needed under the SAVE Act. Now, the AIs are often wrong, they only repeat what everyone is saying about the subect. But they can at least confirm that I have good reasons for my assertion "Real ID sin't sufficient", and the reason for believing this isn't simply because I have failed to read the bill. My point is that I understand this frustration with the grossly ignorant, such as those who haven't bothered to read the bill. But at the same time, consider the delicious irony when you are abusive and wrong, such as in this case. A simple query of AI would confirm whether a reasonable, educated person might believe such a thing, and whether your abuse is warranted.
Tyler Howd@TylerHowd40629

@robertgraham @Martlet04 It’s literally written in the bill that a RealID is all you need lol. Go fucking read it.

I can't understand you point if you don't say it. In none of your tweets have to stated your point. Are you claiming that Democrats are importing illegal aliens to vote? In that case, it's been demonstrated to be false, that illegal aren't voting -- at least, no more than any other occasional voting fraud where people have legal IDs.

"But you need an ID to drive, to drink, to buy a gun". Yes, but under the SAVE Act, these are not sufficient to vote. You need more "ID" than just that. The SAVE Act is not a "voter ID" law but a voter suppression law. If it were merely a voter ID law, it wouldn't be so controversial.

@Tom_Joad_1337 Real ID doesn't prove you are a citizen. Only "Enhanced Real ID" does, and that's rare. Under SAVE Act, you cannot register to vote with the normal Real ID that you already have.

@robertgraham You'll need a passport, birth certificate, RealID, or other government-issued photo ID that proves you’re a U.S. citizen. How's that voter suppression? Every country on earth requires this.

@robertgraham This is going to turn really ugly. Dead people and illegals don't get a vote. Voting is for citizens. The constitution will be upheld and the interlopers will get a taste of American Spirit.

@SonnyJi09796734 Of course rational people who do math believe Biden got 81 million votes. Population has been increasing, and voter participation has been increasing, meaning presidents win half the time with the most votes ever. Trump also got more votes than Obama in 2020, because trends.

@robertgraham It’s about stopping illegal aliens from voting and stopping democratic ballot box stuffing. There’s NO WAY any halfway intelligent person believes Biden got nearly 82,000,000 votes after Obama got only 65,000,000! Deny it all you want but We KNOW you cheated!!!

@Salmonl8ku @grok I don't understand what camels have to do with this. They give licenses to drive -- not federal IDs. They can't be used as federal IDs, such as voting. The reason is because if they don't give legal licenses to drive, they'll drive illegally and recklessly, endangering people.
