The Princess Royal has attended the Dawn Service at Hyde Park Corner in London to mark Anzac Day.
The service commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who have lost their lives in conflict and recognises all those who have served.

The two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran today is welcomed by the UK and our allies.
The goal now must be a lasting end to the war.
Alongside our international partners, the UK will work to ensure a return to freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

With the greatest humility, I am pleased to announce that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon and elsewhere, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. I warmly welcome the sagacious gesture and extend deepest gratitude to the leadership of both the countries and invite their delegations to Islamabad on Friday, 10th April 2026, to further negotiate for a conclusive agreement to settle all disputes.
