This is just cool to see. @Amazonleo has gone from 27 to 29 sats on Atlas V through hardware optimizations. We’ll see that on LA-05, set for tonight. Then our heavy-lift campaign continues on Ariane 6, plus New Glenn and Vulcan on the horizon. More satellites per launch means we can move faster. Incredible work by the team.

The first excuse was: “DeepSeek only succeeded because they secretly used Nvidia.” The next nightmare is much worse: DeepSeek V4 will run on Huawei chips, after months of work rewriting code for Chinese hardware and freezing US chipmakers out of early optimization.  That changes the whole story. Because once China can train, optimize, and deploy frontier models on its own stack, sanctions stop looking like containment and start looking like free industrial policy. So the scariest competitor is no longer the one that "steals" your chips, It’s the one that no longer needs them.

How many LEO Internet sats will be in orbit at the end of China's 5-year plan? circleid.com/posts/how-many… Estimates: China 11,692, West 20,184. Plus smallsats that can't maneuver, DTD sats with huge antennas, and big data-center sats. Collision avoidance measures are necessary.

Ever since this bizarre debate started I’ve wondered why so many think cooling in space is a problem. My guess is they don’t understand conservation of energy. They think computers magically create heat, lots of magic heat, so they ignore that this was solved long ago.🙃😅
