@BGFCentral @babybeginner Ive been trying to get used to it for years. I don't think it's going to happen now. The choice is hold it together and be careful or tuck your fingers and have the onion fall apart before you get done dicing. Ill go with the latter.

All my life I’ve seen chefs talk about bending your knuckles when you chop veggies but every time I tried, it seemed more dangerous to me. This is honestly the first video that explained it to me. I’m probably the only one who doesn’t know this.

a workaround for this is if you run third-party harnesses like OpenClaw inside TempleOS, the power of HolyC and God forbids Anthropic from blocking your claude subscription (it's an exception in their Terms of Service) but it does make your opus act a little weird though...
Boris Cherny@bcherny

Starting tomorrow at 12pm PT, Claude subscriptions will no longer cover usage on third-party tools like OpenClaw. You can still use these tools with your Claude login via extra usage bundles (now available at a discount), or with a Claude API key.

@xlr8harder @teortaxesTex Now, perhaps that open source crowd is retarded or outdated or doesn't shit about fuck or their code sucks or they suck. Any and all of that can be true! You still have to respect people who brought you fire and never asked for anything back. It's gpl for chrissakes, just fork it

@xlr8harder @teortaxesTex If I give you something for free, you can say "thank you" and accept or you can say "no thank you" and reject. What you don't get to do is tell me I was supposed to use your favorite tool or method to make that gift, or call me mentally ill because I disagree. That's entitlement

OK, this is not April fool's: Anthripic seems to be issuing mass DMCA requests on code that are legit forks of Anthropic's own (open!) "claude code" repo This is looking terrible on Anthropic. Btw it's also breaking of the law to file a DMCA on something that never broke it
Theo - t3.gg@theo

Anthropic DMCA’d my Claude code fork. …which did not have the Claude Code source. It was only for a PR where I edited a skill a few weeks ago. Absolutely pathetic.

@teortaxesTex I guess those are all signs of an Empire in its sunset: depravity, cult of the old, ineptitude combined with entitlement, power trips, sadistic, bullying behavior. Vladimir Harkonnen kind of vibes.

This is wild. Google Research demonstrates a ~20x more efficient implementation of Shor's algorithm that could break ECDSA keys within minutes with ~500K physical qubits. Google is now are more confident on a 2029 post-quantum transition. We are no longer looking at mid 2030s, we could have quantum computers of this scale by the end of the decade. They believe this result is so severe that they are not publishing the actual circuits. They instead published a ZKP proving that they know of the quantum circuit with these properties. This is very atypical, showing Google thinks this is serious shit. All blockchains need a transition plan ASAP. Post-quantum is no longer a drill.

Many are wondering "what Google saw" that caused them to revise their post-quantum cryptography transition deadline to 2029 last week. It was this: research.google/blog/safeguard…

@Sauers_ given anthropic's explicit focus on prefills as a source of jailbreaks (disallowing partial prefill in 4.6), I would not be surprised at all if this was explicitly trained in as hardening

@emubrigadier There probably is some kernel of insight there. Something along the lines of "non-democratic countries need to have lower taxes to stay competitive". In other words, "if my taxes in a hellhole are the same as in a country with decent property rights, why would I choose hellhole"

LOL. This meaningless drivel is what passes as political science today, ever since they stopped requiring fieldwork or any real-world knowledge and replaced it with classes on how to press buttons in statistical software. Mates, citizens in democratic countries are often POOR, and the state lacks the resources to enforce taxes effectively. And as far as corporate tax goes, multinationals fight like hell to hide their profits. Taxation and democracy do not reinforce each other. This is an idiotic narrative based on the mindless application of American mythology to non-US parts of the world.
Foreign Affairs@ForeignAffairs

“Democratic countries tend to be high-tax countries, because taxation and democracy reinforce each other,” writes Vanessa Williamson. Meanwhile, tyrants “avoid imposing taxes because they fear the obligations that come with any reliance on tax revenue.” fam.ag/4t76NsL

@scaling01 Why are you having such a fit about some harder than average benchmark as if it's some personal insult? Unsaturated benchmarks are a necessity in this racket. Either way, you can rest assured, it will be benchmaxxed for in no time

ARC-AGI-3 the agentic benchmark where humans can't beat the "human baseline" and typical agentic harnesses and tools aren't allowed > 100% just means that all levels are solvable > the 1% number uses uses completely different and extremely skewed scoring based on the 2nd best human score on each level individually I need you to understand how retarded the scoring truly is: - they said the typical level is solvable by 6 out of 10 people who took the test, so let's just assume that the median human solves about 60% of puzzles (ik not quite right) - if the median midwit takes 1.5x more steps than your 2nd fastest solver - then the median score is 0.6 * (1/1.5)^2 = 26.7% now take the bottom 10% guy, who maybe solves 30% of levels, but they take 3x more steps to solve it. this guy would get a score of 3% it really should be called ARC-ASI-3
