Fargo turned 30 yesterday & I’m a fool for not writing about this on Sunday. My dad literally called me and said “what the hell- nothing about Fargo??” This is our film. We’ve seen it in theaters multiple times. And we both consider it an American masterpiece. I see no flaws here

To embody the "old money" arrogance of Freddie Miles in The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), Hoffman adopted a specific "lockjaw" accent. He wanted the character to sound like someone who had spent his entire life being served and was perpetually bored by it.
